that sounds like an easier way but unfortunately i have no idea on how to script it using those commands. if your willing to show me i'll incude your name in the credits.

i'm not really good at scripting so if i was to do that effect for like,,,, walking on the wall for a room where you could not pass(like a broken floor/no floor) couldn't you just re do the room like the original floor was the wall and the original wall was the floor? and run like?
reset room or something simular
or even using global ints to determin if you have or know a specific thing then you can activate the walk on wall 'trick' and if timer expired  switch it back?

well yeah but it's a none player game. like the only thing used is objects and hotspots. so it's like once you click on the hotspot it needs to be off and no randomly put object can go there. i have been messing around with the

don't critisize my scripting there cause i no it's wrong. i don't have the script with me at the moment so it's not rite.

but is there anyway to do this withought the tedious long repetetive script?
cause there's 9 hotspots and like 8 of the above script(in more detail) per hotspot.

i'm making a game that has multiple hotspots and i want to randomly set an object on one of them. i got it to work but sometimes the objects overlap each other. i was wondering if anyone knows how to prevent this?

i want it so you click one hotspot and it sets an object there, then it randomly places another object on one of the other hotspots. but it has been going over the first object.

i wasn't accually sure where to post this at first but anyway......

i tryin to make a game mainly about magic related stuff and i can't really draw for crap.
the backgrounds are a lot easier than the characters tho, anyway what i need is a main character (like in a cloak or something cool with a staff/magic related) and maybe even a few other characters. i would also like some cool animations (step by step) of maybe like a character catching on fire or being blown up by magical forces. it will mainly be a game for me but if i ever posted it tho you would definetly be credited. and if you wan't you can make you a character (npc) with your animation and i WILL find a spot for him/her. maybe like your a shop owner burning cats or whatever. but if you can help email me at sad6996@yahoo.com with maybe a sample or so. thanx a bunch

it's a little easier to understand if i have some1 explain it cause it confused me when i read it. plus i lost it.

I need to know how to turn a character on or off. i am making a game with an animation intro and i need the char, to appear after the animation ends.  i also wanna know how to give a set amount of skill points and then how to raise the and eventually be able to do something i couldn't. ex: Hero's quest how he throws rocks and climbs till he can hit the nest or climb the tree/wall to get the seed and shyt. if there is anyone who could help me personally with my scripting needs as i come to them that would be great. thanx

i got win 95 unfortunately so i need 8.0 but it wont werk(the download)

not all the time most ags games work but when i try one using windows instead of dos it says that. even when i make a little crap game and play it i cant open it in windows. do you know where to get directx?

whenever i go to play a game i download or anything it tells me i can't. it says my mouse wont work with directinput and i was wondering if anyone can help me fix that
