So the question really is: why are these background characters' baselines further down than your main character's?

Ohh, now I understand why. I had some placeholder sprites in there and the way they were placed put the baseline under where the player character is. I placed them a bit up and it all looks the way I wanted it now.

Hello!
My player character always walks behind the other characters, since most of them are supposed to be sitting in the background, i would like to make them walk infront of the characters.
Is it possible to do that?

Hello there!

In short, I'm making a game where your player character is first a kid, then a teen, then an adult and
I want to change the view that is displayed for the character or just assign a new character as the player character to
make there character look like a kid first and then like a teen (etc.) in the next room.

I tried to find a way to do that, but only found ways on how to change the view of a character in general and not over the course of the game.
