Good news in 3-4 months I will make a more ambitious project for language learning Romanian. This one will have a story and it will be a comedy game.

Quote from: cat on Tue 25/03/2025 20:09:32I don't know how to continue. I looked at the various objects and he said their colors. He says that he is tired and should go to bed, but doesn't. What am I supposed to do?

Sorry about that, it was one of the first games I made so if I remember right it ends when you click the clock or something like that. You're not missing out on anything if you finished the mini lesson and explored the apartment.

Made a drawing for this thread. I'll make an actual sprite later, I just felt inspired so I drew this.

Quote from: Rik_Vargard on Sun 10/11/2024 21:12:18You know, links are useful, instead of having to start to search...   :-D

Lol fixed the post now.
Thanks for pointing that out.

Quote from: Rik_Vargard on Sun 03/11/2024 14:41:38A bit confusing in the beginning because no really guiding line; you can click anywhere you want.
With a person presenting this to a class, I can see great and fun learning.
You got something with this concept  (nod)

I finished the next one, it's called A1 Creative Romanian and it is on the data base and on itch.

Thanks, I'm working on another one with a better interface and a bit more guidance for the player.

I can't even imagine how you made it to be honest :D it's way beyond my skill level.
Awesome job

Quote from: Rik_Vargard on Sat 14/09/2024 22:14:38It's a little bit confusing to read the Romanian/English dialogs right now.
Perhaps the English text could be an invisible character at the bottom, to create some subtitles?
Or have another font?

Also, I think you're up to something here and I think this has potential.
In-between chapters, there could be a simple "First Person room/situation" where the player will have to "do some stuff" and thus practice what he has just learned. Like, in dialogs, having three different options to ask/reply etc.
It could all be done with zero animations and cool backgrounds. :P

I revisited it, it will be finished in three days :D
The theme is all about food, grocery shopping and cooking.

I made it in the form of minigames and I believe that I chose better words for the vocabulary. It's targeted at A1-A2 language learners.

Thanks for your suggestion, I probably would have forgotten about it otherwise.

That's alright, I'll look more into it as I learn.

Quote from: heltenjon on Sun 15/09/2024 15:06:44I played this. The change to the BASS template makes the controls easier, though there aren't many choices to make in this episode.

So...no sign of the main character, Iancu, in this one. There is a scene with his uncle, and the playable characters in this chapter is a boy called Edward (Iancu's brother?) and his nanny. Of course, they all meet trouble. The series has the feel of a drama pulp novel, and the experience is that of reading an illustrated story. You won't get stuck in this game!

Playtime: 5-10 minutes.

Thanks for playing and the review :D
I'm always excited to receive feedback on my work. Yeah I feel like the Bass template worked well this time because the character doesn't have any items gained in the story.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah good idea, maybe I should revisit this concept one day :).

Wow! It looks so beautiful! Congratulations on your release!
My only constructive criticism for the future is that the grass in the second image is too brightly colored.
I love the characters though, they look very cool :D

This is really cool! You're a great musician and I love the art as well :D

Thank you for your feedback! Yeah I'll change the template because you've already told me last time that BASS would be better suited. I guess I got comfortable with the sierra one because I kept using it before.
I'm so happy to hear that it's an improvement compared to the old one :D
Take care and have a great week!

That's so cool! You sacrificed so much time to work on your project, well done! I hope it does well with the public 👍
Best wishes

Completed Game Announcements / Hydra's Head 2
Sun 14/07/2024 23:09:31
Hydra's Head 2 is the next installment of the series.

In this episode Iancu arrives in Klint, where he meets a cast of new characters. Help him carry out his missions inside the town.

The game is finished, but if you guys encounter bugs please let me know!

I'll be working on improving it during the next week.

There is no voice acting, and if the music is too grating turn it off. Music isn't something I'm good at.

Warnings: Some cursing but overall SFW. Appropriate for 12 and up.

Game play time: About 20 minutes

Genre: Adventure, Fantasy, Story-based Point and click

Art wise, I went in a new direction. I hope to make better backgrounds next game, for now I just wanted to focus on completing it.
