Ok, download is clear and no virus!

To answer your question, that alert can from updated win defender and I mean windows 10

Version 1.02 online with small fixes and additions.

What is the antivirus software that gave the alert and at what point of the process?

I ran multiple online and offline virus and malware scanners on the file and files.
Software tools: Windows defender found nothing, Malware bytes found nothing, Avast found nothing.
Online tools: Kaspersky found nothing, Virustotal found nothing.
Downloaded the file on a second computer and got nothing (only Windows defender).
I have a theory, that it was the word "windows" in the zip file name that caused the virus/malware alert.
I renamed the zip files for this version.

Still, download at your own risk, I've done all I can.

I just thought of a way to reproduce bug:
It's possible bug trigger when using left, and or right clicking while holding a trinket.

Trying one of Trinket on one already in placed, you probably will get a dialog already place and we use left or right clicking, it's possible that piece might disappear.

I came through same bug with box and colored triangles, when using one of them on box(left side) without placing inside slot, using left or right-clicking, that piece disappeared

No -- All the trinkets are displayed as one of two objects, all with their own unique assigned place on the screen, none of them overlapping.

Splat44 might right. I now think that one of them became invisible at some stage during the puzzle but I was not able to reproduce the issue.

I'm still not sure what's wrong here. I may have to post the code on the forms, since I'm unsure what exactly happened to make that trinket disappear.

You get it from the aardvark, and there's also some script at the start of Chapter 4 that automatically adds all the trinkets you're supposed to have at that point to your inventory, which makes me think that a bug in the puzzle closeup made it disappear.

Obviously since main player is invisible and changing cloths is only done by right clicking (use), on further games, you might want making main player visible (walking animation included) so items be used on characters perhaps?

The story reveals itself in dialogs, also some puzzle clues, (deliberately as subtle as possible) which are mostly repeatable till puzzles are solved.

About the second ending:

As mystic suggests you can abduct the Prince and leave the order. Look at your inventory and see which items help you with his abduction.

• When attempting pushing door dials, I get message I need putting prince to sleep. If prince is inside then it's a dead end

There are 3 books in the library that you can interact with:

1. After talking to mystic about medical compounds, you'll be able to read/look at "Hawi" for the concoction recipe

2. After talking to sexslave and then librarian you'll be able to swap/use the mystic's red book with "Sad Barg Ostureh"

3. After showing/giving the loincloth to mystic you'll be able to read/look at "Olum-e Qaribeh"

We know Hawi book is on top left shelf of Library but when do mystic recommends such book? So far in my game, that mystic guy does not recommend a thing yet.

You mention magician room, I assume that is mystic room? I seem trying replacing book one by one with "Hawi" book but do to pixel hunting it is pretty hard to do. Perhaps you and Shadow can put clarication?

Entering bandits hideout for first time: It is strange using Eye icon three time and character enter it magically without using pendant. I would think using "Eye icon" one time and using pendant afterwards. We can use pendant enter that area 2nd time and exit same way
