Damn, it's a sweet game, heavy syntax controls, apart from that I just love it. Shame more adventure games aren't made in this style... *realizes that now he does Computer Science AGS may be considered work now*

Spoiler
Nice game, but seeing as all I understand about the ending is a voice talking for a while in Spanish and then that guy going down onto his hands and knees and saying "nooooo" I don't quite understand what happened.

Wow, thats amazing, that's exactly the game I was looking for! The name doesn't ring a bell at all, but judging from some of the screenshots that's the game. Thanks loads.

I have begun a quest to find the name of a game demo that I played over 10 years ago. I can't remember the name of the game but here's a description of what happens (as far as I can remember):

Firstly, I believe the game was an adventure game, point and click, but from and aerial point of view. You started in a hotel lobby, and had to get to the penthouse suite and for some reason kill the man staying there. So you had to get a room on the floor below the penthouse suite, go there, nick the fire axe, screw with the lift so it wouldn't move, climb on the roof of the lift and "open" the door with the axe.

Now, I know this is a pretty vague description, but if anyone can remember what this game was called, that would be awesome because I've wanted to get the full version of this game since I played it all those years ago but lost the demo and the name before I could. I had this same problem with Manic Mansion 2, it wasn't until I stumbled across a screenshot till I recognised it.

Anyway, extra security will just make people more determined to break it.

I was watching South Park eariler, and I was thinking, what if you wanted to create a character that was basically a composite character, such as Mr. Garrison and Mr Hat. I've been trying to think of a way to impliment such a character, but short of changing their talking views before every line they say, or having one character also follow the other gets abit messy, is there any other way to do it?

I haven't tried the infinite stairs thing, but I have done the rabit through door thing, its quite funny if you just keep doing to get into the most strange of places. Not long ago I watched this game where this guy beat Pokemon Blue, in 1 hour 40 with 1 single pokemon fighting for pretty much the entire game.

I never tried a Super Mario time attack, but I did get all 120 stars, although I know of someone that got all stars in some time like 4 hours.

Ah, I didn't see this thread, doh

AGS got more than just a mention in this issue of PC Gamer. A whole page spread mentioning the community and various games. I'll just scan it and host it somewhere. I tried scanning it in but it doesn't work, so if any of you have seen it, its quite nice.

Incase anyone hasn't read my post in MAGS which I made a while ago, I haven't worked on the game for about 2-3 weeks nowm should ressume work either next Tuesday or the following weekend. I hope to have the game released before the end of May, perferably sooner, but no doubt later. Mostly because I want to enter a MAGS at somepoint.

The Rumpus Room / Re: How did you find AGS?

I played Pleurghburg, not realizing that it was made using a free program, then I found 5 Days a Stranger and decided to find out what was so special about this so called "AGS". Thus I visited this site, made about 4 games and released none. ;D

Hmmm it won't show the texture ingame in of the model I'm using

Edit:

And while trying to fix it I got this:

Illegal exception

An exception 0xC0000005 occured in ACWIN.EXE at EIP = 0x01F3DD5A ; program pointer is +31, ACI version 2.72.898, gtags (0,10)

I just changed the ms3d model of salvador on town demo thingy. I didn't change any script at all.

It would be nice to have some 3D Max compatible files in there...
