Ahh, iirc the two personalities can be aware of each other. There was one recorded case where the 'original' person would refer to the "bad" person, while the "bad" personality would talk about the "boring" person, although neither existed at the same time they knew of each other's existance, even having different names but I can't remember what they are now. Then of course some people might have the whole Fight Club thing going on too.

Hmm, not a lottery eh? Let's take a looksee here

1 Person at the top of the pyramid running this thing
Let's say he emails 100 people to start off

100 people, each need 5 people to get their ipod
Ã,  \/
500 people, each need 5 people to get their ipod
Ã, \/
2,500 people, you get the gist here
\/
125,000
\/
625,000
\/
3,125,000

And I believe that's the limit of the number of people who use the internet in the UK. Even if ALL OF THEM sign up, do the math and you see there are 100+500+2500+125000+625000 = 753,100 people with ipods, compared with 2,371,900 dumb schmucks at the bottom of the pyramid who are left with nothing, because there aren't enough people in the world for them all to find people to sign up. That's even assuming everyone who gets this thing will sign up, which they WON'T.

lol quite a funny story, except it kinda fell apart in the last paragraph. How about you stop moaning, get a job, and buy that wacom yourself!

She has a job, it's hard to save that kind of money when you're in school.

On the contrary, it's easier to save money when you're in school, on account of having no bills, food or shelter costs to worry about.

Well there's a fishing and hunting shop in my town called "Steve's Tackle". You can't make stuff like that up.

I call it a "floppy", and I do so in a loud, confident voice.

Me too! What a coincidence.

Bah, it's a pity you didn't have this contest in a couple of months, when I'll have saved up enough for Sonar 3 which can embed music in the video all fancy-pantsesque. I might have a go at this, but I'm rediculously busy at the moment :S

If all you want is to make MIDIs, there's an oldish program called Cakwalk Pro Audio 9, that's the easiest proggie I've found yet for knocking out midis. Newer versions of cakewalk probably have too much bloat for what you want to do. You can probably download it off kazaa get a second hand copy from ebay or somewhere ^__^

1. My first image is of an AGS game (any one), or maybe Broken Sword, that was a classic of an adventure game.

2. Well, defining genres is always tricky and often pointless. I'd say, a story-driven game with the majority of the action not relying on timing. Of course, that could also apply to most RPGs, so I'd have to add the lack of a battle system :)

3. I don't know who publishes any of my games, it makes no difference to me

4. The Longest Journey, Broken Sword I... ok, now I'm stuck. It's not that I haven't played any more adventure games, it's just that they seem to blend into mediocrity in my memory. If you insist, Broken Sword II, BaSS and DoTT, but only because I couldn't think of anything else to say.

I stick to the Telegraph- although it's still quite obviously biased towards the Conservatives, there's enough real news in it to make it readable. The Times is much the same. The Guardian and the Independant are acceptable; anything else I'll often pick up in the staff canteen at Safeway's to have a good laugh at ^_^

Haha how awesome. I don't suppose there's a translation of the lyrics anywhere...?

Surely it's the other way around? I mean, if two people never have sex then there's always gonna be a tension there that will cloud their judgement; whereas if they get it all over and done with then the air will be clear of hormones for a bit so they can see whether they really do like each other or not.

I totally respect someone who will wait until they fall in love to have sex- they want to keep sex as something special, and that's cool. But marriage is just a technicality; why on earth wait until you're married to consummate your love? Show your partner how much they mean to you, the good old fashioned way ^_^

Me? I just can't get any  :o

You need to convert the output from your synth to .wav files, you can have one sound for every note if you want or just two or three samples from different octaves will do. Soundfonts are basically wavs in a pretty package, except with looping and pitch alteration.
