I won`t tell you which one I like the most, but A & F seems OK.

There`s a small suggestion, generally just anti-aliasing:

:2X

I`ve used the same number of colors as you, but still don`t know if I hadn`t mixed up anything. It was something around 3 AM and I`m just learning all those pixel techniques. Zoom it up to see what has been changed.

I would also suggest you adding some design to his shirt, plus some folds to make more natural look.

It was funny to do and I hope it will be even a bit helpful.

Good luck!

Communism. How an empty word as for someone who live far from it`s source. This is all the blame, 45 years of the great political stagnation, under the CCCP`s sickle and hammer (серп и молот). The history of Poland is sad, you can`t disagree, and, unfortunately, it`s still going to be like that.

adam100. Someone has called your dream Utopia and, as you should know, Utopia isn`t possible to make. History likes to repeat itself. You are mixing up two different meanings: patriotism (+) and nationalism (-). Your mentality scares me.

Poland is really FAR from ideal and there are lots of things I don`t like, but at last it`s MY country and it deserves my... if not love, just respect. Country isn`t a government.

Okay, I`m shutting up. Not because I have nothing more to say, but I have an eerie feeling it`s not a correct place to discuss our political views. ;)

It's funny how when Lassi Quest was released people would still praise it, even though its plot was meaningless, its puzzles extremely weak and what not.

Yet nowadays people have the attitude to just call a game that doesn't suit their needs shit.

That isn't what this community is about - give this dude some helpful critique.

I know what you have on mind, but I won`t critique a game which isn`t even a bit funny (and probably which might to be) and makes me think I live in a country completely fall from grace. I don`t think anyone is interested in what`s going on inside my poor, little Poland and so be it. Kaczyński, PiS and Radio Maryja are, of course, good themes to make fun of, but they`re understandable only for Polish people and, as I said before, they`re clichéd as hell.

I don`t like both extreme nationalism (LPR, Młodzież Wszechpolska) and exaggerated contempt for the nation. Amor patriae nostra lex?

Nevermind.

Hey, there are lots of things more interesting in Poland than politics and religion, which are rather clichéd.

Sorry, but it`s a shitty game. I can`t play it more than five minutes. If your life is like that, I feel sorry for you.

Mordalles,

Quote from: Mordalles on Thu 29/06/2006 12:16:58although, I'm not sure if this will work here.

So... where does it work fine? If there`s such place, please link it, I`d like to see it in practice.

I like the idea, but in overall it`s a little too messy. I don`t also know if there will be enough people to follow the restrictions. Generally, we have too many competitions which are in "almost dead" stance.

Nice bunny, Tuomas.

I`ve also bought the Volito2 tablet around a month ago, but due to lack of my time and patience, I don`t have enough will to make something worth watching...

Okay,

small Satyr sprite for a mockup I`m working on:

100%

200%

Four LCD shades, palette taken from NO$GMB GameBoy emulator.

Great work, everyone!

I don`t know if I ain`t too late...

anyway, there is a scrap from my incompleted OROW game, The Pit and the Pendulum (pitpnd for short), based on E. A. Poe novel. Shame on me I didn`t finished it, but maybe some day I will.

An incomplete part of the main room, watched from above:

6 colors in overall, 4 shades of purple plus black & white.

Hmm,

I would leave today`s GER : POL match without a comment. If you have seen it, you can`t say it was bad.

Great play, great struggle and a great luck, which, unfortunately, left us in the 91st minute. Anyway, Thank you, Poland!

A Janas to chuj!

@ jaz: Congratulations Czech! Świetna gra, dobre gole i wspaniałe zwycięstwo! :-)

Have you seen the second match?

What a shame! POL : ECU (0:2). I don`t hide that I`m really disappointed,

and so are around 35.000 Polish people who went to Germany yesterday.

There are only two words to say: KURWA MAĆ! :(

I felt doing a small face paintover:

Changed the shape in overall, shading (two additional colors for reflections), AA and some details. It`s not the greatest edit (quickie), but you may find it helpful, I hope. :)

It`s a very promising style, The Ivy. Keep it up! I like the sprite very much!

It`s good to know you`re still working on the game, I`m sure they will fit the Sar`s atmosphere.

Of that three, Zanseman is my favourite, although like each other, it`s too short as for a looped theme. I found Find the Holy Grail a little too messy, but I think that was your point. Nightmare, in turn, is definitely too short -- it`s missing an "emotional" track, set behind the wall of sound.

Daj znać na PM, jak coś się będzie działo z gierką. Mam tu na myśli jakieś nowe demo, artworki, pomysły czy cokolwiek... Chętnie przejrzę! :)

I dig it, Evil!

I've started recording my (serious) attempt at "Knockin' on Heaven's Door", as said before, but after a few times I simply went tired of the song and take up "The Sound of Silence" by Paul Simon. I ain't a good guitar player (our band guitarist was, unfortunately, busy at this week) and usually, every time I produce something I feel it's not a thing I can "publish" for everyone. So Paul Simon, also, wasn't a good idea.

Anyway, I promised -- I have to. Judge by yourself: shitty version of Knockin' on Heaven's Door by Skurwy (MP3, 56kb/s). Funny thing but I have the same trouble as you, Chrille -- a running nose while recording. :)

PS: Gee, I did it! :)

I like them as they are. There's no need to change/add anything, as the number of details is quite large already. They aren't boring at all, but they beg for a snow plugin!

I'm looking foward to play your game. :)

Haha, Obi, that's awesome! :)

Whoops.., I absolutely forgot about that, but gonna record it today or tommorow. Anyone else for extending?
#20
Wrong. With a good idea you can make an interesting sprite/stuff without too much artistic effort, but without it -- it always will be something that you throw out after one glance.

edit:

Are we allowed 2 entries? I remember a previous Sprite Jam where we could do that..

Make a GOOD ONE first, then ask for another.
