Its so hard to remember because its been a while since I played this game

  have you talked to the worms and answered in a certain sequence? and have you walked left and looked through the weeds and climbed the pedestal and done all that stuff with Kilroy that the walkthrough says to do? As far as I can remember there should be a hook hanging down that you can use to get back up. I do remember at some point the hook gives you two options a normal tug and a big tug and each one takes you to a different place.

you have to buy an umbrella and use that to pass the spider

you have to keep talking to the window and the door until somebody talks to you  and then go and pick up a rock from behind the house, talk to window and door again, and I think eventually the person inside says you can borrow broom - then you should be able to pick it up

Then give him phrase book. Then throw pebble to make a loud noise and while this noise is going on use the crank.

I can't remember the order I did the levers, just kept playing with them, but I had a look at a saved game after I stopped alarm and the levers are all the way down pointing towards floor

Maybe the hotspot doesn't show up until  the kid tells you he was behind the screen with his yo-yo. Have you talked to him? You can see a blue picture frame behind the screen, the hotspot shows up if you bring cursor down the right side of frame

Very good game, I just wished it was longer. Loved the humour!!

Bug? When I went back up to the kids room it said he returned the playing card but it was still in inventory.

I know I was really enjoying the game too, so was disappointed when I came to the end

Kin I couldn't remember the order of the levers if my life depended on it, I know I just played around with them and finally got the right order.

I see argus's comments have been deleted so maybe somebody could also delete my not very nice reply to him/her

I figured out how to get the water but now i have put the ball in the machine, and trying to figure out how to get a blueprint, probably have to use the chalk on something but can't seem to figure out what
