Need a LucasArts-style pixel artist and a LucasArts-style background artist. Contact via PM, email (penguinofthegods@gmail.com) or MSN (same as email). AIM too (SargeTron).

I would just like to say that I found a copy of SMI at a local thrift store, now I can play the monkey island them on my CD player, woo hoo! ;D
Well that's certainly the easiest way to do that.

One: If you do not own the game, you can still download the game and play it for 24 hours, then it becomes illegal to own it. Hence, downloading roms is not illegal.
This is a myth invented by ROM sites out of paranoia. It's more likely to appear on toilet paper than a legal document.

Elliott, everone knows that  ;)

But even so, its still illegal.
It isn't if you own the games of the roms you use and the system itself.

It's the same as millions of existing forums. Sorry, I don't see it going anywhere.

Jesus is crying. Powweb is one of those companies that get all the bad reviews of bad service...

This is pretty fun.
This is an understatement.

Oh, that thing. I know of it, but have never tried it.

(It's legal. If you own the system, and extract all of the ROMs etc. from the games itself, it's legal. Just don't tell anyone otherwise.)

Before everyone else asks,

What is Kaillera?

http://www.servage.com/

That is all.

73.24 GB of space for $90USD / year? Sounds more like a scam than a webhosting offer to me.
They don't oversell, and they haven't gone down once.
ed: I mean for me of course

It isn't legal technically, but nothing will come from it.

It's a lot of fun, but there are a few things that suck:
1) There is no time overlap handling -stuff. I thought I wrote a continuation to X, but after the story appeared fully, my continuation had shifted to after Y. It's not hard to add a some sort of check there.
that's planned.
Quote
2) The story is complete at the moment - and what, we have to wait until you manually move it elsewhere?
... oops, I wasn't checking. Doing it now...
Quote
3) The archives are stored as individual lines. This makes reading them hard.

But hey, great work!
It currently uses a messy flatfile database, I just move the secret story file over to the archives directory.

Hird: The one you're proposing is rather more expensive than the first one mentioned in this thread.

Still this kind of offer is hard to say no. I'm at 1 Gb space and 10 Gb monthly transfer only :p . But anyhow doesn't seem that I have any problem yet. I never surpass the 3 Gb monthly limit... :)
$4.95--$5.25? That's not much. And if you'd take a look at what they offer, it's well worth it.

Also, I have only heard bad things about netfirms.

But aren't we comparing $10 for a year for £5.25 / month?
Oh, crap, didn't see that. Anyway - that's only for the first year, and if you're not keeping your website up for more than a year, do you really need paid hosting?

Actually, just ignore me. Should have read the post fully...

It was in here last time and mods posted in it, so I think it's fine here.
