Tell me what you would consider reasonable,
See I need to break even and hopefully make a bit of cash,
Give me ideas on the name and what terms you would be willing agree to or any other ideas to advertise my site for free.

I was going to host the game AND a website for the game that you would design yourself.
The logo was so that people would see the game and think there must be more good games like this back at {that site} ill check that out,
It would increase my traffic and give your games more exposure outside this community.

ohh by the way on an un related note I have put my game SuRvIvAl on hold and am remaking my old game Zombie Nation- why try make a great game when you have a few skeletons in your closet (the old zombie nation) so I am remaking it using backgrounds constructed in Garry's mod with custom models from www.garrysmod.org and all will be editted with paint.net and gimp.
There will be a more coherent plot with full voice acting and most likely cinematics.
It will be 800 by 600 and true-colour.

ahh well I did not intend to rely on the people I was hosting's clicks really the whole into thing was to get people to come to the site and browse through all the games of people I'm hosting for and then click the ads.

Sorry if the thing at the start of the intro was unreasonable but I dont intend to just host the file but essentially a webpage per game you have but since no one is interested I withdraw the offer- you gotta remember sites arent cheap.
It would only have been for the version you  put on my site by the way, like the way newgrounds has a logo when ever you load stuff off their site.
Edit : it wouldnt be ad fraud if you didnt do it all the time and only did it when you saw something that interested you- I only meant don't avoid my ads for the sake of avoiding them.

General Discussion / business proposition

I'm considering starting an online business and it includes the people of this site.

I'm going to purchase a web site,
And offer to host a page for people's games here as in I will give a page to each person who wants one for free.
Heres how it will work,
You make a html document for your page i'll upload it and ill give you the link,
I only ask that you click on the google ads every now and then because that will be the only source of income and that you put a slide in the intro of you game saying "hosted on {whatever my site will be called}" along with the logo of my site.

All those interested please speak up as if I get no interest, you get no site as my parents will be paying for it intially.

Note there will be no contract, I will be doing this entirely out of my own kindness, so if I waste out of money the site will close and its not my fault so don't get angry at me. It will go for as long as I can afford it.

If your interested,
Please say so in this thread and why not help suggest a name for the site.

If the site is made, post your page request here.

General Discussion / Re: PC Rituals
Wed 05/09/2007 03:52:21
Well my ritual is when some one else (or me) is using my computer and the mouse is left hanging off the mouse matt it drives me crazy and I get up and centre it even if they are holding it, I just wait for them to put it down and move it.
I also can't trust anyone of equal computing skill on my computer they must vastly overshadow my computer expertise as if they are the same level I think they will do something a way that will conflict with my way but if there better than be I know they'll do it a better way.

General Discussion / Re: The nintendo Wii

I'll shut up about the Wii now but i have been reading up on it and the IGN podcast refered to the Nunchuks as Thumbchuks, I'm not an idiot who assumes everything i read up on everything I say although the information may be somewhat out of date compared to newer information released, forgive me if I have pissed off and users but you must admit 5.5 on gamespot for red steel is diappointing (I really liked the look of that game)

Ok, thats the last of my Wii-bashing.
Adios.

i actually hate the DS and i have played it and i was originally rooting for it.

Nintendo i admit do make fun games but they dont cater for everyone,
they've isolated the market who want online multiplayer and violent games.

i personally think the greatest advancement in gaming is online gaming and Nintendo doesnt seem to have embraced it.

Not to rain on the Wii's parade but so far it looks rather GIMICKY,
a launch title got only 6.8 on gamespot and i can't see how such an INVOLVED control system will work for serious gaming.
For example with halo 2 on xbox you can safely have 14 people participating a rather heated and violent battle in a room the size
10 feet by 10 feet (very cramped though) but say with red steel on the wii by the end of the night everyone will be exhausted and there might be a broken nose or two.

While I have played system link with xbox for about 14 hours before i cant imagine anything like that with the wii the controller isnt very accommodating

In my zombie action free roaming game i have the shooting system working how i would like it or at least accept it but how would i make it so that say i use and object "ammo" which has twenty rounds adds 20 rounds to your gun and also every time you shoot (note the gun is a cursor)
it deducts 1 round until it reahes 0 and runs a code of my choice.

Please help as it would greatly speed my rather slow progress.

p.s by slow i mean slow, my rather shameful game Zombie Nation took 3 years,
I'm determined but rather lazy although i really have just been studying to hard!
300 hours in 3 weeks cant be good.
