Thanks for all the support.  Its sounds like if you would enjoy playing it then its worth the time.  I hear the anti-combat message.  I was thinking that the dogs who wont fight usually are murdered but a pacifistic hero would make a better story.  So I've started working on some maps. 
And I can't find the lead either

I haven't made an AGS game before but I have a story idea and I would like some feedback.

Having worked with dogs for 2 years at a kennel and a pet hospital and currently going to school for a vet tech degree I thought it would be cool to make a game about a dog's life.  The pet hospital I work at takes stray dogs and most of them happen to be pit bulls.  The majority of which are never claimed by their owners and euthanized because the local shelters will not accept this breed.  Its a very sad situation which most people are unaware of.

I thought it might make an interesting game if the main character were a pit bull that was used for dog fighting but he/she is able to escape and must find there way around the world until ultimately they find a good home.

I want to know if I would be able to incorporate a health meter and have the game timed so if for example the dog could not find food in a certain amount of time it would die.  Also could it have a simple combat system?

I have no knowledge of programming but some artistic ability if anyone would like to work with me.  If completed it might make an interesting and educational game.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I dont post much, and that is an understatement... But I really respect this community. hmm i dont know if i can spell either.
At any rate, people who like gaming, and have the ambition to actually create games, logically, must be cool. So my bored (drunk) ass downloads this mIRC thing, so I can have some decent, entertaining, conversation with you folks, but alas! nobody is on. *sigh*

I am humbled by all these compliments. Sorry I haven't added any games in awhile, I am outta town. All these suggestions are great!
I hate how a site will look totally nice on my computer, and way too big on someone else's. I am using someone's aol browser and I see theres some problems.
Yeah 5 Days a Stranger is an adventure game but I needed something to put in that catagory! lol
I was rather hard on Runescape. I'll go back and change the rating soon.
Oki so I'll update the site and add some games when I get back home in November..

I just saw Kill Bill and I loved it. I haven't been to see a full price movie a long time cause I havent seen any that looked worth $15.. but Kill Bill definately was. I don't think it would be as cool on a small screen.
My bf told me that Q.T. was inspired by watching anime to make Kill Bill, and the whole movie seemed like a live-action anime to me. The dialogue and the character's personalities were perfect. I especially liked the blood spray-effect. Also showing the crazy 88 gang looking all tore up after the fight was a nice touch. I can't wait until vol. 2 comes out. And anyone who likes anime should SEE KILL BILL!!!

Thanks for all the feedback!! I made the page thinner, added anchor links, and added Betrayal at Krondor. When I have some time I'll set it up so that everyone can rate the games themselves.. that would be dope!

On a side note, I went thru a lot of trouble to get a copy of Americas Army which included 3 trips to the recruiting place and lots of small chat with the officers >.< and when I finally got a copy of the game found out my system's too crappy to run it..  *sigh* Anyways maybe it belongs in the mmog section. I'll think on it...

I made a free games archive (how original) cause I think the ones out there mostly suck..

Anyways I would like some feedback on how it could be improved (besides adding more games, i'll get to that) or ideas for a logo..
Basically I want to have best freeware games site on the net!!! Suggestions?

I am stumpt in the adventure game Exile. The creator seems to think that walkthroughs are the death of adventure games. : But, I wanted to write a review for this game to put on my site, so if anyone has finished it, could you please tell me how to get past the guard on the steps?

i just lent my brother (7) and cousin (11) Waynes World and they have been saying 'happy birthday mr president' every 15 minutes since, and isnt that like the least funny part of the movie?

and we were watching SW a new hope last nite because my cousin has never seen it, and halfway through the movie (right about after the death star blows up alderan) she asked, 'is there gonna be any action in this movie?" arrrggghhh...

i gotta stop hanging out with little kids and get a life....

Ah.. I miss the Dreamcast. I stood in line at the games store at 1 in the morning to get one the day it came out. There was so many fun games for DC. Eventually mine broke I guess from playing pirated cds  My bro's just broke too, and he hasn't been involved in any illegal activity. Maybe its just a crumby system. So I didn't get to finish Shenmue but the first cd was very tedious.  
And why wouldn't anyone want an Xbox?

   Awhile ago I started making a game. It will take place in an old mansion. I have quite a few rooms drawn allready. The idea is that you are a burgler, and you hear about a large amount of money in a safe in this mansion and you have 6 hours to find it.
  The thing is I can't think of a good story beyond that! It would be nice to have a mystery plot. Or something else going on, for you to discover as you are wandering about the house. A murder would be good (people love blood everywhere right?) but thinking within the constraints of a point n click adventure game. Anyhow I am not very creative so your suggestions would be much appreciated!!
