not a serious entry, but saw the title and thought of this.

see, under the earth :P

I think I can manage this one.. already got a good idea.  I'll see where it takes me.

grats!

Even without seeing the shows much (well I sorta know heroes but honestly think it's very overrated) I still enjoyed both games.  Pick something fast so I have time to make a game before I go away in mid december :P.

looks interesting, but you should probably give a little more info about the game itself, like the story.

You might want to take a look at teh template for In production threads.  Some people may get angered.

Well I started something based on the Adams family but after realising that I had not seen an episode for about 7 years and also I went away so alas, no game.

Yeh, I did too after my computer got wiped, but I recently finished a fair bit of stuff and decided to bring it back... hopefully my artistic and writing talent has improved in the last 2 years.  I seem to have debugged it pretty well thus far... we'll see how it goes with recreating the first part of the game from when I was still getting used to it.

Well, news from the production trail, I've fixed most of the notable graphical issues associated with chapter one, as well as removing a room and adding some finishing touches to some of the rooms.  Simularly, the first puzzle or so of chapter 2 are complete, but at teh moment the game ends with a room where you can't do anything that I made back when I first worked on the game.

As I begin to create new environments and characters I'll be posting some screenies, probably in the next few weeks.

As far as free games go, yahtzee's games are really close to as good as it gets, just played through the whole of 6 days todayt, being once again startled at how truly engrossing the game is.

5 days was a tad confusing at times, but all his other games really are brilliant, with very good stories.  Even if they're a tad short, a few hours for a 40 second download is really pretty nice (the same applies to most AGS games)

AGS Games in Production / Re: KKK Quest

RickJ's idea is awesome, but without it I have the feeling that this game would be WAY to offensive and crude for societies liking.  Either be more subtle than what appears in those pictures or do add something like RickJ's idea and then the game would work as a comedy.

The KKK are hardly a laughing matter.

Ok, I know its been almost 2 years, but I've finally started work on the game again.

Firstly, I fixed the demo completely, and it now works. (with the right starting room, etc.)

When I tried downloading and playing it, it work fine except that the resolution appears to have bugged in some stage of the process, if anyone else gets this problem, let me know and I'll try to fix it.

and yes the early environments still need work.

EDIT: Ok, I tried making the file a .zip and putting in the setup exe, should work fine now.

Halo, as a game thats best aspect is multiplayer, focused has nowhere near enogh of a good story to make a worthwhile adventure game.  My brother has already tried.  Also, inventory style shooting will just end up taking to long to be that good.  You should try and code some shooting instead.

I was thinking about this cool idea for a gamethe last few days (details when I start the game(Ok, I'll say this much, it's a futuristic war based game)).  And I was considering arrow key control to move the main characters.  is there some easy way of implementing it through code or whatever?

hmm... I suppose I can just use the game engine I made for the last MAGS and change the setting a little bit to make it compatable, is that allowed?

Buloght, or Klaus: what's the exact dead-line of the competition (hour and minutes of Feb 24)?

Any chance of a 2 day extention?Ã,  Just so that I've got the weekend to finish it?

This time it's a question for me. First of all: No extention! February is a short month and people should have time to vote and the winner should be able to think about the new rules. So the deadline is February 24th.

What if there are no entries, but we're close?
