General Discussion / Re: The return of MST3K
Fri 04/12/2015 00:35:58
Sorry to bump up an old thread but MST3K is actually returning for real :-D

http://bringbackmst3k.com

Even though it will have a new cast, former members are invited to help write or make cameos.

It's currently funded for at least 6 episodes but its working it's way up to 9 and hopefully 12.

Ha I was about to post about what was happening! We are on the home stretch now with 3 days left. We are well over $400k and should make it.

Oh and Pledge Quest was created in AGS :)

The playable "Living Concept Art Phase 3" is live! The live commentary for SQ4 also starts in a few minutes. Enjoy

Don't miss the live chat with the 2 Guys as they play through SQ1!

Find it in your timezone here..

Hehe yeah I should have been more specific. The prototypes are really just demos of some ideas that the guys have. Sort of a thank you for supporting the Kickstarter. It won't be part of the actual game.

Anyway The SpaceVenture Prototype 2 has been released. There are also a whole bunch more Kickstarter Tiers - Something for everybody!

I'm surprised this hasne't got more discussion here (Although I haven't been here for years so I'm a bit out of the loop). We need support at the Kickstarter page! We seem to have run out of steam on our promotion efforts . Prototype 2 is due out soon (it was delayed to to health reasons) so hopefully things will pick up a bit. It will be a great loss to the adventure game community if we don't get this campaign funded.

General Discussion / Re: Lurkers

I don't come around here as much as I used to, but I lurked here a lot. I lurked a bit in the EZboard days and I started posting more in the newer forums. I've always been someone who reads and rarely posts, and I've never really been able interact properly on the internet - it all seems a bit fake.

I remember playing the recorder. I still know most of the notes, so I can play a few little tunes. I don't think I own one though. As far as I'm aware, the wooden ones have a much nicer, warmer sound than the plastic ones. Someone at my old church used to play a double sized wooden one and it sounded pretty good.

Yeah I don't like it, and don't really use it except for reading other peoples pages and maybe the odd comment. I really should remake my site better - I didn't spend that long on it, but meh, is it really worth it?

Well it seems McGrath did follow Warnie to retirement. Aussie cricket is going to seem a lot different for a while. I've grown up with both Warne and McGrath playing International Cricket so it will be a bit strange. I don't think there will be too much trouble finding replacements. At least it will give some younger up and coming players a chance to play.

Hmm I just noticed that this was my topic from last year... time to change the year number.

General Discussion / Re: Last.fm

Vel: Hey that's cool. I'm a pretty new Marillion fan, so I've been more into Marbles. I have listened to the older albums a bit, and I enjoy them. I think I'll listen to some tonight. I do really recommend Marbles though - I would put it in my top 5 albums. A lot of reviews I read say its a return to form after a string of slightly disappointing albums. Oh and there will be a new album coming out at the start of next year sometime.

And also, we need a logo for the group. I'm guessing a blue cup will suffice.

I've been on last.fm for a while. It's cool to see what bands you listen to alot and which songs you play the most. When I joined, I was really into Marillions's album Marbles, so that dominates all my charts.

Personally I dislike those signs as they seem immature so I've blocked them all. I can see how less informed people would think that they are getting hacked though.

It's only out on GameTap so far (i.e. Americans only).
Residents of the USA only, PLUS a subscription to the GameTap service. I hope GameTap are paying them well!
From what I hear, it was GameTap who actually funded the game.

I don't think some people realise, but the Wii would be good for Adventure Games. Maybe even some Sam & Max?

Strange bug you may be aware of: Ok this is to do with save games so it might fall under the bug listed in the readme. When I first had a look at the demo, I saved 2 save games. This is all well and good, but then I went back to play the demo again, but the saves wern't there. I tried the shortcut on the desktop and the actual exe file in FoY\demo and they didn't show up in them... I then tried the shortcut in the start menu and the save games were there... It doesn't make any sense to me. The save games also appear to be in the FoY\demo folder and no where else.
