The whole thing could be a metaphor for Dementia/Alzheimer's . This man sees things that are familiar to him, but yet not familiar and he is deeply confused, hence the music sheet. The book with light written on it could be to do with his fading memories. Perhaps at one point, all of the books said 'light', but everything slowly faded away until now only one remains and this mans mind will soon be entirely overcome by the dark fog of his disease. Then it repeats itself, as this man forgets everything and continues in a never-ending cycle.

Interesting. There was an hour game contest couple of days ago and I made some quick game  about dementia people, only my guy was in space and had no idea who he was. Haven't uploaded it though..thinking of it but then I have to fix couple of thing like GUI which is completely screwed and other things which I prefer not to at the moment..
Maybe I can uploaded it as it is as a sign of how messy the mind of dementia people is, might work  ???

I think zombies don't eat much at all. At least the one I've met! The conventional zombie is slow, and stupid as someone said so they don't loose as much energy while roaming around with no obvious reason. Now the reason why they bite people might be purely killer instinct or rather survival instinct. By that I mean the virus within them is the trigger that makes them bite and scratch and so on.. That way the virus can reproduce and spread. If they ate the poor guy all the way to the bone how will he arise? As a skeleton? (If that were true I reckon the same question we ask ourselves today would never have to be asked in regards to the skeleton)

So they chew and swallow bits and pieces now and then just to keep them going( This is a zombie that lives in a better economy world, if there was a food shortage he would devour even the bones)

I vote they vomit now an then when the camera is not rolling

Critics' Lounge / Scanner Artwork
Sun 30/05/2010 01:43:59
I just bought a scanner for my PC and trying to figure out how to actually use it to convert my drawn artwork into
a valuable and usable animation or background. Should I just make a shade of it and complete it on the pc or make all the animations on paper? Is there anyone who is using scanner who is willing to share some tips?

The book is wonderful!

What I would like to see in it is a list of the most common questions and mistakes which would
help most of the beginners not to ask the same questions over and over on the forum.

Also, since I struggled with this before getting my own way of doing it, a tutorial of art would be nice. By that I mean a section dedicated to making backgrounds and characters out of scratch, maybe if someone would be willing to share their experiences.

Just a thought...

I was wondering about something for a while.
Would it be possible to make the background animation have some more options?
Like-I always hate that you can enter only I think 5 different backgrounds for the animation.
If there was more of them(like-really more)there could be a possibility to make better background animation while
the character is doing something.
Let's say a character is walking over a meadow and in the background there is this cool animation of a big airplane
accident.
And if there were a lot of slots for the background animation-more could be done.
Just thought i could share my thoughts...  :-\

Unfortunately these guidelines will be difficult for those who want to make the game in English but have read books translated to a language that is not English. The names of people and places and well known phrases in books are often translated and sometimes greatly modified, which means that you'd have to read the original version of the book first in order to make an accurate game out of it. I for one can't read a book AND make a game in one month. But hopefully too many people won't encounter this problem.

luckily,there is internet so the original is just a click away

General Discussion / Re: Plane food.
Mon 02/02/2009 12:29:25
I traveled with Korean airline 4 times,each lasted 10 hours.
They always offered two things.
(Note that the flight atendance don't speak english very well)
KoreanGirl:" Wo wu yu liaaa,tadišioooonn o Biiiiiiiip!!?"

Due to experince i came to a certain translation of what might they have said.

KoreanGirl: "What would you like,traditional or beef?"

Traditional is raw sea weed mixed with more raw something,all colour of green and a soup with water and leftovers.
Beef is beef covered with whatever the very same thing(whatever that was) that i mentioned above.
At lest cookies were good. Relatively...
So after many flights i learned how to react-each food had it's YES and NO!!!!!!! and third -NOT FOR A MILLION DOLLARS!!!
So,each of that,i compiled in a special corner and just ate the ones i marked YES.
Until on the fourth flight i was stunned,shocked amazed and sickened at the same creepy time when the women said: FISH OR CHCHCHICKAAAAAN!!!?

(Note that the airplane was filled with koreans,they all ate the traditional so i was sick every time they opened the cooked pacage spreading the smell.)

(Since then,i haven't been picky when it comes to food.)

How do you see the world around you?Are you a believer?what do you expect from your future?Do you see a reason and do you find sense in the things you do?
Or rather,how does the universe affect you and how do you affect it?
Its a rather wide area of discussion,but i was just wondering how people see their life
in a modern world.

Hi,
I want to change the playing character and teleport to another room.
This is my code:

Code: ags
{cJames.Say("Ok,i'll sleep!");
FadeOut(30);
Wait(40);
cBritneyM.SetAsPlayer();
player.ChangeRoom(3, 633, 307);
FadeIn(40);
   }

Instead,my game crashes after Fade out with an error that says:

Code: ags
 ::)Newroom:Cannot run this command,since there is a new room command already
 queued to run.
