I didn't use the hammer on the guard and I still beat hte game. What you need is inside the same room with the hammer. And it has to be combined with another item locked away in the warden's office. Figure it out

But to answer your topic question, yes there is a walkthrough for this game. It's what I used to beat this game a long while ago. It's in the original help column for trilby's notes. You can recognize this one as the one with a lot of pages already written. I don't remember what page the link is.

Okay, I figured out the rest of it. It's as simple as one two three.

1. Use the hammer on the sign.
2. Use the hacksaw on the top part of the sign.
3. Use the newly found halves of wood with the sign post.
4. Stick the new slingshot into the hole you got the sign from.
5. Use the brick with the slingshot.....POW!
6. Walk out.

If you've completed the detector, just hover your mouse all around the right side of the basement and you should come across a small patch of dirt, which, as I don't care said, is labled 'area'.

I'll explain it in step-by-step format

1.)Make sure you have the moustache from the rogue's gallery.
2.) Talk to Horace Green I think her name is at the top of Baon's Tower.
3.) Talk about Angelo
4.)Put on the moustace
5.) Talk to her and get her to be ready
6.) talk into the pipe. Bla bla bal, you get the gift voucher for the babylon. Give it to the woman. She'll open up the gallery
7.) Look at all the attire, then select to but one-piece.
8.  give it to the Baroness with the moustache on.

...I missed a couple things but you can figure it out

Use one of the daalders to get into the Rogue Gallery at the bar. take one of the postcards from the corner of the painting(as well as the mustache on the skeleton, but for a different reason). Offer the post card to them, and they will say it needs to be signed. Do that yourself with the quill, then give it to them
