Well I have decided I want to get into flash animation, and I've been searching the net and can't seem to find the answer.  I know flash has symbols and keyframes, but does it support skeleton structure? Where you have a bone structure and you place objects on the bones and move the character with the bones to create an animation, similar to how most 3D authoring programs work.

Beginners' Technical Questions / Custom Name
Wed 14/03/2007 22:44:30
How do I set a custom name, so that at the beginning of the game it prompts you to input a name and then refers to you as that name the rest of the game.

I know it deals with variables, but I don't understand how i would apply this in the script.

I was wondering how to make characters that when you click them using the use cursor, you begin a battle with them, much like rpgs, click the monster and you begin fighting them. I know the wording is very confusing so I decided to provide this excellent work of art. ::)

Wow, thats so simple I feel completely dumb haha, thanks for the help

So I was wondering if it was possible to have a "Choose your Character" option at the beginning of the game, not like a game where u switch in between characters. Like for example at the beginning of the game you would choose if u wanted to play as a boy or a girl and that is who u would be the entire game.

Ok, I do not want to write out some long explanation, when I can easily keep it short and sweet.

Does anyone know of any free game creating programs to create a graphical text adventure?
Ã,  They were primarily big in the 80's.

Ive decided on SUDS but i was wondering if everyone else felt that it was a SAFE choice, because i have had a lot of bad expiriences in the past with viruses.

I think that the couch looks a bit out of place, like its not sitting on the floor, maybe add some shadows when u apply the shading? I do like the style and hope the rest turns out as good as this

Looks nice, you pulled off the jawbone nicely, whenever I draw a skull I always have difficulty making the jawbone connect to the rest of the skull

This is just a thought but in the first picture with all the white squares, it'd be cool if all those were picture frames with pictures and stuff inside of them...just a thought, but I also like the lighting effects

Now i'm know professional and unfortunately i'm not doing a step by step, but I think that your catching a lot more HI- Lighting Areas on his head, theres no light showing on his right(left) arm or foot, also in the first one the tongue is showing in his mouth, in the second one it looks like just a red blotch(not meant in a mean way).  Also I think it looks kind of messy because there is no outlines in the second picture so it just kind of all blurs together, for example in the first one  there is more definition in his ribs and the top of his stomach to show how skinny he is.

Personally I like the chracter and colors  :) hopefully he'll appear in a game soon.

To be honest this is my first post here on this username, but I have been browsing the forums for quite some time, so i'm not a complete noob, just half a noob ;).

Enough chit chat, so I'm working on developing a side character for a game i'm working on...and I have the characters head sketched out and scaled down to the size it would appear in the game. I was planning on a buisness man body but more scrwany to fit his scruff face. First of all I would like to have some suggestions on the characters head, I know I need to work on the lips but idk how to fix it, also i wanted some suggestions on how I should go about coloring him. Second, would a buisnessman body be appropriate for such a character or should I go for more of a wife beater pot belly body for him.

Thanks for any constructive thoughts:)
