AGS isn't exactly built for a football simulator.
And how could one man do an unacceptable AI for it?
How can you move 23 characters (including ref) at the same time and make them operate with intelligence?

If you want to make a game about FC Barcelona here's what I recommend that would be original, logically possible to make and would have a crowd: do not make a footnall simulator at all, make an adventure game about life working for FC Barcelona. Like playing one of the players and the situation they go through. Think of the movie Goal in adventure game form and in FC Barcelona. Now THAT would be awesome.

Hints & Tips / Re: the treasured medallion

Yes, I have it.

That's too bad really the game was really enjoyable so far but maybe there's too much gathering of items to be used much later in the game and the script being dependent on all of them maybe is not such a great decision.  Why can't I just get the items after the luau?
Although I have all the items anyway.

Very cool game!

I always love to see original concepts and this was very well done. It kept me very hooked in. I honestly can't think of new words to add that hasn't been said in 5 pages of this thread, so just know this was very enjoyable. You really have a lot of imagination and creativity. Way to go and keep on doing interesting games

General Discussion / Re: LCDs

I'm not gonna need HDMI and I'm not gonna be using the LCD to watch stuff on it. I have a 29 inch tv that's hooked to the computer. My computer is 5 or 6 years old. I don't have any game consol. HD broadcast \ Blu-Ray are in their diapers here and very expensive. It would be a couple of years before their widespread and cost normally here. So I would definitely only get a LCD for computer purposes. Space, health and electricity are nice bonuses but I'm mainly concerned about being able to play low res games. IS that possible? without too much work to get it done?   especially with the wide screens...

General Discussion / LCDs
Mon 13/04/2009 19:33:26
I'm thinking of buying an LCD for my PC but for someone like me and many of you guys who uses the PCs primarly for low resolution games - old games and AGS games, and I understand it's problematic to run such games on LCDs, especially widescreen LCDs which seems to be the only thing that's left selling atm. I understand the much higher resolution of those widescreen LCDs just doesn't allow 230x200, 640x480 etc resolution games to run on it and there's no option to run in 4x3 on it. I don't really have much interest in watching stuff on HDTV on my computer or new games with super graphics. The main reasons for buying an LCD are health (no rediation) and space.
What do you think?  how is your experience with LCDs?

This game was very awesome.
I loved the design, not just the lego concept, the sets and everything... very creative !!
Now you are a guy with imagination and creative hands...
dialogues were sweet too!

And another little thing that I appreciated - clicking on Biggles opens up inventory... brilliant!

Ugh.. a bug... in episode 2 when I step into town square the game crashes :(

as the chicken I got the ladder and the candles. Now what?  outdated walkthrough of Demo says use ladder on Scid's but that doesn't work. I thought it maybe another pixel-huntish thing but I clicked all over and it probably isn't.
What do I do now?

- There is no nudity
Therefore it's hopeless

Yeah, 3D rendered breasts really excite me in the loins as well...

PERVERT

The nude women in LSL:MCL were awful. Somewhere in between the realism of a $2 blow up doll and a realdoll. And since realdolls have the face of death on them, it wasn't titillating, it was zombiefying.

I'm just saying, the nudity (which was mostly censored in LDL games until LSL7) was so bad that it was entertaining and besides that's one of the main features that LSL series is identified with so it should be in any new LSL Game, not for satisifiying the horny needs of anyone, but because it's LSL tradition.

Your bringing MCL is irrelevant to me since I don't count it as a LSL Game. since it also does not involve Al or Larry Laffer, it's not even an adventure game. I'm comparing the the real Larry games.

In the new LSL game

- Al Lowe is not involved
- There is no nudity
- The player is Larry Lovage (from Magna Cum Laude) not Larry Laffer

Therefore it's hopeless
