Hi Gilbot, thanks for your quick answer. Now, let me explain:

Did you set appropiate scaling parameters for each used walkable area? You nee dto set them for each area separately.

I made a single walkable area with blue line (Editing: 1) that covers the whole path that main character is allowed to explore.

What did you mean by reverting to max and mi[p]n[/b]?

Sure you noticed that under the "Use continuous scaling" box there is "Zoom level: a% to b%". As I have read in the documentation and in the topic I linked you, the a% should be the minimum percentage of the size (that the main character does acquire when is "into" screen) and the b% should be the maximum percentage of the size (that the main character does acquire when he is... hmm... "near" me). By assuming that this reasoning is right, it happens to me - when I save the game or the room - that the digit that I put in the first box (the a% - the minimum percentage's one) swap itself automatically with the one that I put in the second box (the b% - the minimum percentage's one). So it gives me an unwanted effect of perspective.

How's your background composed?

It is just a "test" background - just to get the hang with AGS. There is a courtyard inside which the main character start. It is surrounded by a wall. on the right, there are some stairs. On the front, where we can see the wall, there is an overture that let the main character go out and move towards the horizon.

Hello everyone, I'm Guido89. I'm new at AGS and I would like to make my own game by starting from scratch (by using AGS 2.7.2). I started by making the main character and by having the first room (that is a screenshot of a countryside place). I've just read the starting tutorial and everything works fine (no error messages I mean). But I have a problem with the character's scaling: instead of becoming smaller as he moves to the countryside's horizon, he turns bigger and viceversa. I have looked in the AGS forum to get a solution and I have found this topic (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=18073.0) started by Leo who seem(ed?) to have my same problem. As he did, I have tried to use the "continuous scaling option" by setting a mid and a max variables and, as he figured, I have got them automatically reverted to max and mid. Posted solution has not worked so I am still "stuck" with the creation of my game because I am just waiting for an answer. Thanks in advance for help.
