Very nice tool, works like a charm! (using ags v4.00.00.18)

Parser library contains the words help, h, and ?, each three being synonyms of each other (having the same id).

The questionmark 'word' doesn't seem to act like a synonym word. Is that intended?
(i couldn't find anything on 'special characters' concerning the parser in the manual.)

So while being synonyms, to let the parser detect these three 'words' correctly, I must combine them like they are non-synonyms:

Looks like this bug is present at least since AGS 3.2.1.

The parser is generally a lesser used section I think, and then you still have to hit enter at a somewhat illogic moment, so not that surprisingly this minor issue stayed hidden that long

changing room id from the explore projects panel or from within a room from the properties panel gives a System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException ("Error: Could not find a part of the path.").

• my projects are located in folder C:\Users\Arjon\Documents\__AGS\<projectname>\

Confirmed, that fixed the GetRenderTargetData issue indeed.

Also, using above fix:

• Can't reproduce Baguettater's button clicking issue either
• Haven't encountered any other issues

Question:

I'm using AGS Editor .NET 32-bit (Build 4.00.00.15)
When I set the general settings option 'enable debug mode' to false, compile and run the game, it 'crashes' showing the following error msg popup:

Loading game failed with error:
There was error reading game data extensions.
Unknown extension.
Type: id:1.
The game files may be incomplete, corrupt or from unsupported version of AGS.
When I set the general settings option 'enable debug mode' back to true, compile and run the game, it runs fine again.

Am I overlooking something when turning debug off?

Yes, you can't take something you haven't found first. This is also mentioned in the info/help section in the game.

Just uploaded v1.0.2 where the area to find the said item is improved. Savegames from previous versions should still work in v1.0.2.

Alrighty, as s few people had difficulties finding these mags, I've improved that and uploaded v1.0.2:

Changelog:
v1.0.2 changed: redraw hotspot area for magazines, making them easier to find
(in the original game this 'hotspot' was quite small, so I improved it as I noticed several people were having a hard time finding it)
v1.0.1 fixed: final score not correctly displayed in endscene

Note:
Savegames from previous versions should be compatible with v1.0.2.

I'm playing the second game now and can't progress past outside the New York airport... What a newb!

I'm not familiar with Waxworks from Digital Fantasia (1983) as that one has to my knowledge never been ported to DOS,
but I have played the dos version of WaxWorks from Accolade (1992) which has some slight similarities with the Accolade's Elvira adventures series.

Not sure if Digital Fantasia's and Accolades' Waxworks games are related (remake-ish?) or completely different standalone games.
(There's also a 2020 remake of Accolade's WaxWorks, called "Waxworks: Curse of the Ancestors" which I never played.)
