I would think those are both good plug-ins/programs and I think they would be worth money. However, I have a thing about being forced to pay for development tools, which is much of the reason I use AGS. Instead of requiring payment and worrying about the program being offered for free, it would be friendlier to ask, "How much do you think this program is worth? I appreciate any donation." And have a Paypal donate button. It works for Home of the Underdogs. Speaking of this, how do I donate to the Chris guy that makes AGS? If he had a donate button, I'd give him money.

Hey, how is this project going. It's been a couple years and I'm hoping you guys got somewhere. Is there any help I could provide to finish the project?

General Discussion / Re: 3D animations

3D Rad is a pretty easy to use program. You can check it out on http://www.3drad.com. The new version (the only one I've tried) allows you to import models from the Google 3d warehouse, which gives you access to all kinds of models. The free version doesn't come with the compiler to turn your work into executables, so it's only good for 3d animation, not games.

To use it for 3d animation, I run my 3d simulation (just like running your game in AGS) with a video capture program and creating an AVI video. Then you can screen shot frames from this video and import them into AGS. This can be handy if you want to get some quick walking animations. I recommend using FRAPS to do your video capturing.

QuoteAdjusting the walking direction based upon horizon
16 walking views

These two have been requested occasionally, but there has never really been the demand for me to add them. Would anyone else use these features in their games?

I'm looking to make a game with graphics on par with Quest for Glory 5, but if I can't get 3d characters to work I'll want as many frames as possible. 16 walk-views would be very nice.
