I was starting to make a game a long time ago and just got back into it but when I tried to playtest it I got this message:

"Error: Access to the path ............... is denied.
Version: AGS 3.1.2.82"

Does anyone have any ideas? I searched on the forum but could not find anything

Thanks

Hello everyone! If you played my previous game, then you might like to know I have started making the epic adventures of Barry 2!
We return after our hero went on his epic adventure against the creator. If you have not played the first game, the story thus goes..

Barry, our hero, wanted a grand adventure. Not so much to ask from an adventure game huh? Well our poor little Barry did not get his wish and so decided to seek out his creator. With the help of his equally badly drawn friends, he found the creator and rescued the good creator who was imprisoned.
However, all was not well. The good creator was once again captured and now it is up to Barry and the gang to rescue her once more. It is truly the start of Barrys epic adventure!

We start with our heroes on the way to isle dunga where they must free the good creators creations and the mysterious Escator.
Many things remain unanswered, but we can already see that this will be much more darker and more of an epic adventure than Barry ever could have imagined.

Features:
All your favorite characters return! And each get a makeover of how they look throughout the game.

The new mugusa.

A glimpse to what the characters will eventually look like.

Onwards to isle dunga!

The team on the boat.

Captain Ricco:

Spoiler
For the legend creatures ensemble, you need to unlock the cupboard in the dining room.
To unlock it you need a key
To get the key, you need to open the mystery box.
To open the mystery box you need to melt it with the kettle

For the white stuff, you need to open the trapdoor in the hallway.
To open that, place the tree statue thing and the blue stone in the holes on each side of the main hall.

Ok, thanks for all the replies! I will answer some questions on puzzles in the hints and tips forum :)

I admit, some of the puzzles are a bit awkward but I tried blending them all together.
I will try and fix as many bugs as I can!

Ok, I looked through and tried to find typos and managed to fix a few minor errors but couldn't find anything major that could affect the game. If there are any big typo errors, please feel free to tell me so I can figure it out :)

Was very atmospheric, especially at the beginning! Really enjoyed it. Thank you!

I really liked this one. Only problem was that I went straight into a new game after I got one ending and it never reset itself. So I went straight to the other ending lol

But yes, loved it! a lot of fun. I liked how things came together

Thanks, I'm in the process of going through all the typos now! Any questions, let me know :)
#14
Thanks for that! Really appreciate it!

When I started making the game, I knew my biggest downfall was my drawing ability. While I did dumb down my drawings on purpose in some areas, I am quite a bad artist. It just made sense to relate it to the story so my graphics don't get ridiculed as much as they would have done.

I hope it doesn't disappoint!

Game is now available for download :)

Alrighty! First game completed! After years of fiddling now and then I managed to make this and I am very proud.
I admit I am not very good at this, nor do I know the power of AGS. But I have tried my best and hope to have made a fun game people will enjoy and hope to make a sequel if people like it. I swear it gets better the more you play. I learned more as I went along.

Story: You play as Barry. A recent creation ready to go on adventure. But the adventure is awful, the characters are terribly drawn and he is basically just very unimpressed. It is up to you to help him find the creator and stop this nonsense once and for all!

Criticisms and improvements are of course welcome! :) I hope you give it a chance.

Ok, so the game is completed! After many months and years at it hah. The game does not do the time justice, its just been something on the side for a very long I did now and then. I don't know if anyone is still actually interested but I am just doing the little bits and bobs to make it better.

Hope you like it xxx

I thought I would give a final screenshot and then I won't show anymore until I get it done and get it up here.
I'm dedicated to try and get my game up here and believe it is an enjoyable one. I just never realised it took so much time!
