Hi, i'm an university student and i'm working on a nice adventure game projects with other students.
We want to use AGS such as graphic engine for our project but i need some answare from experienced users.
I have read that on ags site / manual:
"In the graphics arena, choose from 256-colour, 16-bit colour and 32-bit colour - either go for that retro feel, or enjoy the benefits of no palette! It's up to you. Alpha-blended sprites are supported in 32-bit colour games.
Screen resolutions of 320x200, 320x240, 640x400, 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768 are supported. Your game can be run full-screen or in a window."
We are working so much about 3D area, and 1024x768 resolution is ok... but, 32-bit color feel me worried; there are any way to use about million of color for a better graphics quality?
And:
"Play cutscene videos using OGG Theora or standard Windows files such as AVI and WMV."
AVI and WMV are two kind of file-extension; what codec i really need to use for in-game videos? And, for example, if i want to use MPEG2 codec for video in avi file-extension what i need to do?
I hope someone can answer me, meanwhile i can only say: good work to all of this nice community!
