I'm having a problem where I can not run programs. When I try to run a program they appear in the task manager Processes tab but they do not end up in the Applications tab. I sometimes get the error message "Login process has failed to create the security options dialog". The problem seems to be related to Donna Avenger of Blood. I had been playing the game for several days before the problem showed up. The problem started after a Flash update. Uninstalling Flash did not fix the problem. Only a System Restore to a time before Donna A of B was installed fixes the problem.  Reinstalling Donna A of B brings the problem back. I have gone through several restore and install cycles and the problem always returns when Donna is installed. I'm running Vista Home Premium on an HP Pavilion Laptop. The only other thing I can think to mention is I got an error when I started Donna about the terminus file. At this point I'm just not going to install Donna anymore and see if the problem returns with my current setup.

The missiles turn into the whale and petunias. The missiles do turn into a whale and petunia and the cut scene of the whale creating words for things happens. but then I get the you messed up page.
I've looked through walkthroughs and the only thing I can find is there was supposed to be a large plug on the spare drive. There is only a fused spot where the large plug used to be. There is always just fused spot on the drive from the first time I pick it up and look at it. I am playing in strag mode so maybe the large plug was removed to avoid dead ends. I have been to Ford, Trillian, Zaphod, Beast, Warlord scenes. I have the all the fluff, toolbox, black particle, awl, magnifier and paint chipper.
