Second Place is for Losers - MAGS May 2014 Winner.

This game was created for the may 2014 MAGS. The theme was "SEX". I forgot to post it before, so I'm doing now ;)

Naughty goings on in bed may mean a lot of things. It may mean to have fun, it may mean to love someone, it may mean nothing... and sometimes it may mean procreation!
(Don't worry I said "sometimes").
There was a time when naughty goings on in bed was one of the most important event in your life:  that happended more or less 9 months before the day you was born.
During that, you started a race... It was the very first victory in your life... You were the first placed!
There are competitions where it's not important to win. In that kind of competion all positions are for losers but the first place. Even second place is for losers....

NOTE: The game may contain stylized images of body parts.  Nothing different from what you can find in the books of science in high school, but in the game you are asked to report your age. To play you have to be at least 18 years old.

Hi guys I finally decided, so it's time for a new Colouring Ball Competition!
The theme I have chosen is: SPYING

Here's the shape:

Spying means to observe without being seen, and often you are forced to do it in uncomfortable positions ... and it can happens that these uncomfortable positions force you to discover points of view that you never experienced before. A Spying cliché is the keyhole, which is the shape of this Colouring Ball Competition.
Will you be able to convey the essence of a situation, the essence of an ambient or of an event drawing and painting only what you can see from a keyhole?

Rules:

You may:
Resize the keyhole
Make adjustments to the shape or even change the shape of the keyhole. IMPORTANT: it must be a keyhole anyway!
Include a texture for the door around the keyhole

There are no colour limitations.

Competition runs from May 15th to June 1st.
(If someone wants the deadline be extended, feel free to ask).
Have fun!

Trophies

Gold Key - For the Winner

Silver Key - For the Second placed

Bronze Key - For the Third placed

Voting through June 7th, 2014.

Winner Announced. See my last post.

Donald Dowell is a nice old man in his eighties, retired for many years. Donald's life, except for his "intolerable" wife, is quiet.  But Donald feels empty. He has the socalled retiree's syndrome : he s bored to death!  The only way to cure his boredom is TO GO BACK TO WORK.  After many hours spent in his city, trying to get hired for various jobs, he finally finds his calling: to be a GHOSTBUSTER! Donald will try to become Bob Delano s assistant (the most famous occult detective in Ireland), be involved in the investigation of Barker Manor and, hopefully, solve the mystery.

Hi everyone,
We're working on this game: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=47108.0

It's complete and we just localized it to english.
We need your help for proofreading and/or testing english version

Can Someone help us?

We need to check if there are grammatical errors, but most of all we need to understand how it sounds to an English native speaker.
If someone is interested, contact me here or via P.M.

We thank you all in advance

Andrea

Hi folks,

I decided to start this topic because I think that is important to talk about websites where you can expose your own games and your demo-games.
I'm an Italian indie game maker and I discovered a wonderful portal about indie and casual games (built up in 2011) where users can submit and show their works(complete games or simply demo games) and release them to the players.

I think that websites like that can be very helpful to indie game makers like most of you.

The portal is called FreankExpo   http://www.freankexpo.net ; it was made by Italian guys but it is avaible in english, italian, french, german  and spanish languages and users come from all over Europe. Games showed and downloadable are in english, italian, french, german  and spanish languages. There are all genres avaibles (RPGs, action, adventure, ecc...)  and there is a classification based on points collected by posting comments, rating games and publishing games. The staff makes periodic contests and tournments for players and developers, to enjoy them and collect more points.
There is a panel where you can manage your games, there are channels youtube, facebook and twitter to increase the visibility of the games, You can upload the screen of the game directly on the site (I think without size limits, cause I uploaded very big files). There is a good system notifications (for example if someone comments your game, you will receive a notification. Even if your game is changed or there will be a reply to your comment.) and the most important thing: there is a sort of Graph visible only to those who entered the game in the game-page that shows the number of downloads and visits.
The links for downloading your games can be changed at any time and demos can be turned into complete game any time.

The portal contains over 350 games!

Just to give you an example of a game page, here's the game page of one of my games:

check it out: http://www.freankexpo.net

I think that my post is: Helpful.
