It's a time to light those candles upon that tasty cake, as both the Commodore Amiga and the Atari ST are celebrating their 30th anniversary. That's right, it's 30 years to this day that the Amiga was launched, and last month it was the Atari ST!

I'm all for warnings, but firstly they were two separate games based on futurama! And two I have ALWAYS written articles and linked back to adventure game studio and the games developed on here ( SINCE 2012!!! ). Just because I link the two articles to my site, which was sent to me by the developers to let people know I feel the warning was a bit of a back stab.

If you don't want me to source Adventure Game Studio in future, then that's fine.

When I said I had something special to show you in regards to a new adventure game, I bet you didn't realize it was going to be related to Futurama! Developed by Arjon van Dam on the MS-DOS group as a work in progress title, with backdrops and no actual game play as of yet. Will be very similar to games such as Kings Quest and Space Quest but with text speech in a style of Lucasarts.

According to Iker Maya,' Futurama Professor Vetus I presume' will be a large game, in fact it's going to be huge, especially impressive as it's designed by one person. The game will be free with around 100 playable rooms, open world with space travels, enemies, playable characters such as Fry and much more

When the word was out that there was a Monkey Island style game on Kickstarter, I just had to see for myself, and sure enough there it was! Duke Grabowski, Mighty Swashbuckler by Venture Moon Industries is a brand new 2.5D point and click adventure game for PC, Mac, Linux and Ouya that has a very strong LucasArts and Autumn Moon Entertainment flavour.

Some great news today as finally after all this time Atari has announced the release date for the latest upcoming PC RollerCoaster Tycoon game, RollerCoaster Tycoon World. Developed by Pipeworks Software, RollerCoaster Tycoon World will feature much of what has made the originals so great, with no micro-transactions and all new innovative features to build the park of your dreams.

Dave from RetroYak has just informed me about a new game jam that is about to begin on the 29th of August. This jam has my full interest as it's going to be a Speccy Jam, in which indie developers from around the world will come together to create brand new retro inspired games in the flavour of that great 8-bit system, the ZX Spectrum.

If you have a great collection of DOS or Windows based classic point and click adventure games, then the latest update of ScummVM 1.7.0 will do you nicely. I for one have it installed and use it for all my classic adventure games. But what is ScummVM, I hear you ask? ScummVM is a very special program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games in the compatibility list with extra added nifty features, provided you already have the main files.

Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, Dreamcast, PocketPC, PalmOS, AmigaOS, BeOS, OS/2, PSP, PS2, SymbianOS and many more..

And that game was Inherit the Earth: Quest for the ORB, a multi-platform adventure that made a popular appearance on the Amiga & PC. It was just a shame it never got the official recognition it truly deserved (I for one loved it). But the good news today is, thanks to Tom Turrittin who has a soft spot for Inherit, he has informed me that the original creators Wyrmkeep Entertainment have announced through Kickstarter, Inherit the Earth: Sand and Shadows, a sequel to the original!

What looks to be a fantastic game with a dark and creepy nature filled with creepy creatures and monsters, Bulb Boy is sure to be fun for all the family and what's more the developers have also released a demo.

Ahhh the Amstrad CPC 464, a great machine that did surprisingly well against the C64 and the ZX Spectrum. And today it's a day of celebration! Well at least if you had an Amstrad, as the old girl is 30 years today.

Gamers and retro gamers alike you are in for a serious treat today as Shadowgate, which is the new re-imaging of an incredible adventure classic originally from 1987, is now available for pre-order. The developers Zojoi have claimed that Shadowgate is the granddaddy of all "point and click" fantasy adventure games and NES favourite, and to be honest I completely agree with them!

Visionaire Studios have just announced through Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight, The Mystery of Oak Island, which is a new point and click adventure game that is inspired by the golden classics of the past. The company behind this game is also the developer of Visionaire Studio 4, which is a powerful tool used for creating incredible adventure games such as Deponia, The Chains of Satinav and other well known greats.
