I am planning on creating an interactive game with AGS. The game will feature an alchemist who sends the player on various quests. The quests will be partly played out in real life. The idea of the game is to hire people through it to make and sell jewelry, and to make my work more engaging and enjoyable. So I would like to make this game as quickly as possible.
This is how it would work: In the beginning, we are introduced to the alchemist, who hires the player as an apprentice. The alchemist then tells the player he needs help gathering beads and making jewelry for his shop. The alchemist sends the player to various locations in the game, such as Africa. While there, they are asked to complete certain tasks in order to receive rewards and level up. In the mail, I will send the player basic beading supplies. In the game, they will be asked to create a certain number of necklaces and send them back to me in order to level up. When they make 10 necklaces, for example, they will go to the next level and an in-game character will reward them with a new type of bead, which I will then send to them in real life. I am making the game for anybody willing to work for me, but also for myself, to motivate myself to work harder.
It's a bit complicated, but I think we can find a way to make it possible. I have limited experience with AGS, I started on a game a few years back but never finished, so I will need an expert in game creation to counsel me on how to make this work in the best way possible. I will also need artists and voice actors. I am willing to pay for these services, provided they are satisfactory, though I am unsure of the exact amount I would be willing to pay. I would like to see examples of your work first. So before I take this project to the next step, I'd like anybody interested to please post an example of their work. If you can, it would be preferable if you could post how you would draw the alchemist, for example, rather than something you have made previously, so I can decide how I would most like the game to look. This game is not in full production yet; I am just in the preliminary stages of gathering interested individuals and writing the script.
