OUTSCORE

Welcome to Nova City, a sprawling metropolis where a government-enforced CITIZEN SCORE system ensures its citizens maintain a proper conduct. Your score dictates which districts you can access, what products you can buy, whom can you talk to—essentially, your fate. You'll play the role of Alex Murillo, a middle-class graphic designer who wakes up one day to find his CITIZEN SCORE has been reduced to zero, and he's been thrown out of the city. If you want to reclaim your life and find out who is responsible for your predicament you'll have to find a way back into the heart of the city, to the central offices where everyone's fate is measured and managed.

OUTSCORE aims to be a classic graphic adventure with a focus on its narrative themes and a branching storyline: you'll have to choose between bending to the system's demands in order to improve your CITIZEN SCORE or find your own way into the city—with the dangers this might involve.

OUTSCORE features a dark and moody original soundtrack by the very talented Thomas George (https://www.thomasgeorgemusic.com).

Progress
OUTSCORE will be released episodically, with the demo/prologue finished and available at itch.io. The prologue is about 20-30 minutes long, depending on how experienced you are with graphic adventures. Next episodes will be released periodically when they are done, work on the first episode has already begun and there's a few scenes drawn and coded.

Hello!

I'm trying to add translations to my game, but I'm stuck. I was following the manual; I created new translation files, added the lines in the new language, saved, and compiled them. The new language does appear in the dropdown menu in the Default Setup screen in the editor, but changing the language there doesn't do anything. When I run the game from the editor it still shows the original language text. In the compiled version of the game, however, when I click on winsetup.exe and look at the "Game language" dropdown, the only option is Game Default.

I've used Atom and the default Linux text editor to edit the files (I'm using AGS through Wine, but it hasn't given me any problems for now), and as far as I can tell, I've done everything the manual says. Am I missing some step? Is it some encoding issue? I don't even know where to look for a solution, and googling hasn't helped at all.

Thank you.
