I'm not sure if this belongs in the BFAQ, but I thought it was kinda complicated, so I'm putting it here.
Ã, Ã, Alrighty then, what I'm trying to do is make a game that's like the 80's sierra style, with a textparser and everything. What I'm not sure how to do is make an inventory where each item (graphic or word, doesn't matter) is listed, and one is highlighted. The player can then toggle between the items he has using the arrows to see what he has, and when he presses enter on the selected item, that item will be examined and a description will pop up. To exit the inventory window the player either presses backspace, or esc. A good example of what I'm talking about would be like in peasent's quest.

Thanks.
(P.S. - If it's not so much trouble, is there a way where if the player types in "fast" or "faster" that the speed of the character's walk will increase? And vise-versa for "slow". This would be greatly apprecieated, thank you)
