Sprite Jam (October 15th to 22nd): Cast Auditions

Helloooo, folks!

We had a great Sprite Jam about inventory items; now it's time for characters.

Theme: Cast Auditions

What happens after a game finishes? It's a question that some of us probably ask when the closing credits appear.
Many characters, specially the not-so-important ones, can't take for granted their participation in the sequels. So, they have also to apply for other games...

The idea is: imagine which game that character you chose would apply for.
Examples: M. Trottier as a pirate for LeChuck's crew or Malcolm Corley as a ghost for a new Blackwell game.

Just one rule
The sprite must show the original character in his/her "new" costume; in other words: if you choose the first example I gave, we have to see that it's M. Trottier dressed like a pirate.

I hope it's everything clear - sometimes I feel my written English going down the drain... But if it isn't, there's no problem: I'll answer all yours questions (about the Sprite Jam, of course. ;D).

Critics' Lounge / A big apartment
Mon 01/05/2006 21:01:40
After getting courage, I finally decided to post something in Critics Lounge.

This is the entrance hall of a big apartment:

(320x200; VP: 247,51)

What do you think?
How can I improve it?

(The GUI from FoA is just to complete the background. If I eventually make a game with it, I'll create a GUI too.)

After thinking about a theme for the Comic Contest, I decided to choose this one:

Retelling a Myth
Myths are part of humanity history. Although their central story is generally preserved, there can exist many versions of them.
Let's take an example: the myth of Medea (my favorite). The most canonic (and famous) work about it is Euripides' play (431 b.C.). I'd also list three other very interesting plays on the same subject:

- Medea, by Seneca, 1st century a.C.
- Médée, by Pierre Corneille, 1635
- Médée, by Jean Anouilh, 1946

What I want for this contest is a comic (a tragedy, a comedy, a drama etc.) showing your version of a myth - whichever you want. A better known one would be nice, because everyone can identify it, but you can choose a local myth too - just give some information about it.
Ah, and you don't have to draw a comic with the whoooole myth! It can be just a resume or part of it.

Final date: April 14th.

Is everything clear? Any doubts, questions or suggestions, please tell me!
