I am completely stuck already

I have magic cup containing water, stone, small spoon, thorny stick, blood. I know where the spoon goes but I can't do that yet because I don't know what time to set the clock at.  I know I have to rescue somebody from the 2 rocks, can't talk to the wizard guy as hes always too far away. Can't figure out what the magic word is. I have tried the 3 letters on the wall but I probably need more letters? Have tried everything in my inventory on everything but just can't seem to get any further

Anybody playing this, I am stuck

I have changed the picture on the door to look like the symbal on the wall and I have tried to put the stone square in. It says it fits but the picture is illogical so I am assuming I have to somehow change the carving on the stone square but it won't let me use the hammer and chisel on it. I have tried putting it on the pedestal first that doesn't work. I have tried everything on everything. And whats the hole in the wall, I can't seem to do anything with that? I am probably not seeing the obvious, can anybody help?

Just started this game and stuck already.

I have red dye, water in cup, paper bag, pruning shears and fur from chia Llama.
How do I get the shaving foam?
I have been in restaurant and around to the back of restaurant and I assume I have to use the paper bag on the customer but I have to inflate it first.
