Good day fellow creators

Just stopped by to drop off this juicy little nugget. I stumbled upon this wonderfully gifted and talented artist over at MovieStorm by the name of Run415, who has a site full of terrific music that can be used in games, movies or even if you just want something to relax to.

There is a wide assortment of different atmospheres from Piano music, to Rock to Sc-Fi to Calm. I don't about everyone here but I can always use some calm.

Like I said the music is free but if you use the music in games or movies he would like a credit and link to his site, which is only fair. I spent the day at his site one day listening to music and almost fell asleep.

Hi Again Everyone:

I know everyone is probably sick of me belly aching over script, but believe me I tried it. I even tried using BlueGui's script, the demo's script and kept getting errors galore. I even tried using some of the users on here's script and no luck. Here is my question.

I made my own Custom Gui. My Gui1 is the popup bar which consists of a Inventory button to bring up the Inventory window, two CD pics for save and load and a crystal ball with quit on it to quit the game.  I can get the quit to work because all I have to do is type,

Quitgame (0);

Is there a way of getting this Gui to work without script and if so where do I find the tread or BFAQ to show me how to do it.

I've gone through I don't know how many messages here trying to get this to work. I've got to say hats off to everyone who has the patience for scripting, you're geniuses. I'm just glad we don't keep guns in the house.

I can do practically everything else in the engine but scripting I just can't get it to work for me at all. Thank you all for your time and patience. I greatly appreciate any help. Thanks in advance

Hi All:

First of all I would just like to thank eveyrone for their help with my walking nightmare. My character is walking now, he still walks like he's drunk but I can live with that.

I know I've said that I didn't want anything to do with script but I started reading the script tutorial and I think I may be able to handle it. My question is. Can I do a combo, for instance use the Interactions and just use script for things that can't be done through the Interaction like I want to have it so that when my characters talk to each other, it will be like in the game Keepsake. I'm guessing I will need script for that. I want the dialogue to be at the bottom of the screen inside a rectangle box and you hit a button when you are finished reading so it will scroll to the next text line. I think I read something about it in the manual. I'm not sure if I've asked this before and if I did please accept my apology, but once I start scripting does everything I do have to be done in script? I guess that's the real question. Hello Everyone and good day/night

I desperately need help. Before everyone gets mad at me I just want to say that I've checked the manual as well as the BFAQs, went through most of the messages here, loaded up the demo and went through it, and I am ready to poke myself in the eye with a fork. Here is my problem. First of all please keep in mind that I am not using script for this game. If I have to use script then this game will get deleted.  I can't script at all, I've tried to learn it but my comprehension for it isn't very good, nor is my patience.

I am having a problem with my character's walking. I have the walkable areas right, as well as the walkbehinds, baselines and edgelines. But when I go to test the game my character is walking all over the place. He walks on the walls, ceiling, the bed.  When I hit the walk icon he just moves by himself. I've checked everything in the Views, Character pane. There isn't any reason that I can see why it won't work.

Also, another thing I noticed. When I position the character by the mouse position for instance, when I look at the mouse position and it says the character should be standing at 145, 160. He should be standing in the middle of the walkarea, but during test he is halfway up the wall. But when I position him at 250,250 he is where he should be. Is this some kind of error with my machine?  I'm at my wits end here, please I'm begging someone for help. I managed to get everything else right in the game. Once I get this guy to do what he is supposed to I should be good from here on in.

Hello Everyone:

My name is StarLite and I just joined today. Happy to be here. Before I joined I've spent the past week searching the forums and I don't like to ask for help unless I'm totally desparate. I was wondering if someone could direct to a thread or part of the manual that will help me with a Dialogue Box. What I am trying to accomplish  is have a box with arrows to scroll the text up and down for when people talk to each other. It is going to be a back and forth conversation between two people. There won't be a choice like 1, 2 or 3. But rather than have the whole screen filled with words I would like to confine the conversations to a box at the bottom of the screen. Please keep in mind that this is my first attempt at any game and using AGS, so I am totally clueless here. Oh and one other thing, I won't be using script. I hate script, if I have to use it the game won't get made. I greatly appreciate any help I can get. And if I've done something out of the norm here please accept my apologies. It is not my intentions to make people mad at me. Thank you once again. Looking forward to hearing from you. Take care
