Someone more clever than I has added a classic point and click interface to Grim Fandango using the ResidualVM engine.

Video preview here. Anyone here tried this yet?

I suppose the next step now is for someone to add keyboard control to Full Throttle.

Sorry about the delay!

What is the Photoshoppin' Contest?

See this link:
http://www.somethingawful.com/photoshop/

And for other examples, see here:
http://www.worth1000.com/

The two above websites should give a fair idea of what is involved. Also you can check out the earlier Photoshop contests in this forum.

Note: Photoshopping isn't drawing a completely new image -- It's editing images to create a new image, such as editing one image or combining several images.

Also, you don't have to specifically use Photoshop -- Paint Shop Pro, Gimp or any other ~equally good programs can be used.

This fortnight's topic!!
Good Game Adaptions

Imagine, for a change, a good movie based on game.

Something very much like this:

(Although hopefully not as horribly rushed a Photoshop as this example.)

NOTE: As you can see in the example, the game doesn't have to be an adventure game, but some would make for great movies.

What do I have to do?

This week's Photoshop Phriday is "Adventure Game Merchandising".

What if adventure games were so popular merchandising became lucrative, beyond T-Shirts sold on the publishers' websites. Imagine LeChuck beard combs or Sam & Max weapon licenses. Go crazy.

Here's an example image to set you of:

Oh, and I don't want funny people posting actual adventure game merchandise. You suck.

Also, make sure your image doesn't exceed the width of the screen -- If you don't may your bodily odour smell vaguely of waffles from this day forth.

This week's theme is: "AGSers in Adventure Games"

Berian Williams stars in Leisure Suit Larry 2:

You may have noticed there are no images of me online you can use. That's too bad.

Night of the Living Dead is apparantly Public Domain and has always been so. You can download it for free from archive.org, bless their hearts.
http://www.archive.org/movies/details-db.php?collection=feature_films&collectionid=night_of_the_living_dead&from=collectionSpotlight

"Before 1978, any copyrighted work had to have a copyright notice on every distribution, otherwise it wasn't considered copyrighted. George A. Romero mistakenly left out the copyright notice when he distributed his 1968 film NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD. The copyright has not recently "lapsed," but was in fact never enforcable, which is why we have dozens of "pirate" distributions of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD and innumerable knock-offs." From http://boingboing.net/2004/03/23/night_of_the_living_.html

There's plenty of other Public Domain movies on archive.org as well: http://www.archive.org/movies/collection.php?collection=feature_films

Edit: Download the mpeg4 version btw.

Edit: Despite how little I use my domain I needed the space and removed the operas. I'll maybe host them again when I get my own server with more disk space but for now they're gone. Sorry.
-------------------

Since mods never got back to me about uploading them to screen7 I decided to put my domain to use for once:

http://www.esseb.com/div/agssongs/.

32 operas, 11 AGS shows and 4 debates. Download all you want.
