Hi!

I was once a frequent user here back in 2004-2006 (I think). I haven't really been back a long time, so its fantastic to see the place is still active! I just popped my head in to ask if anyone here has heard of the much awaited, much discussed upcoming horror adventure 'Among the Sleep'.

The Kickstarter went live today and so far the response is marvelous! The reason I post is because I made the Kickstarer video, so I really want these fantasmagorical people to succeed! I am also really curious if any old-school adventure game lovers are fans of the game or genre :) I didn't know much about it before I started working with them, and I have never been a fan of horror - but I just might play through this once its out.

If you want, you can watch the video that presents the game here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blq8hp3E5I4

And for those who haven't heard about and might be curious: Its a game where you play a two-year old child! How awesome is that?! Its quite cool and looks amazing! Its not all horror either, its a horror -dash- adventure ;)

Please check them out. They are awesome. And very talented :)

Thanks!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warcraft_Adventures:_Lord_of_the_Clans

I found this a while ago ... WoW and Warcraft fans should get a kick out of knowing it.

"WarCraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans was a dark comical point-and-click adventure computer game under development by Blizzard Entertainment that was set in the Warcraft Universe, and cancelled before its release. Russian company Animation Magic located in St. Petersburg was out-sourced due to their experience in classical two-dimensional animation to produce the twenty-two minutes of fully-animated sequences, the game's artwork, the coding of the engine and the implementation of the sound effects. Blizzard then provided all the designs, the world backgrounds, sound recording and ensured storyline continuity. Four or five months after Blizzard had released Battle.net and Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal had shipped, Blizzard began development on a title that would be cancelled just over a year later.

Tagline: "An Adventure Game in the World of WarCraft."

They scrapped it because LucasArts were releseasing MI 3 and had announced Grim Fandango, suddenly their graphcs were outdated.

Seems like the big guy is into sidescrolling and old school non-first-person games. Cool :)

"For those who didn't know, Smith is a huge gamer. In fact, he had to tear himself away from his Nintendo DS and the New Super Mario Bros. game to do this phone interview. He already went through the game once as Mario and then returned as Luigi for another go-round. I'm a big fan of scrolling games," said Smith. "I'm not into first-person games. My theory is you're a game fan of the games you came up with and I came up in the scrolling world. So I still love to this day scrolling games. That's why I'm so entranced with that Mario game on Nintendo DS. It's just a total scrolling game with great graphics."

"When it comes to the convergence of Hollywood and games, Smith believes there's a way to bring Jay and Silent Bob to the interactive realm, but he needs some help.

"I'm really not good enough to pull it off," said Smith. "Games is one field that I like to be entertained, rather than try to be entertaining. For years, people have been telling me to do a Jay and Silent Bob game. I'd be all for it, but I'm just not the guy to do it. I'd be happy to write the back story for the game, but when it comes to what are the levels and challenges and bosses and things like that, I'm so not good at coming up with that kind of stuff. It'd be nice if someone came out with a Jay and Silent Bob game. I'd play it in a heartbeat."

Anyone ever thought of making a Jay and Bob fan-game?
