I am just curious what sites you all know of that are AGS or just Adventure Games orientated. I am always looking for new information or tips, or just great games in general.

Thanks

I am new to AGS, and would like to know what exactly do I lose and gain by going w/ 256 color or 16bit and also why someone wouldn't use at least 640x480 resoultion, other then speed issues. Do I lose the ability to do something if I use 16bit other than palettes. And if palettes are a big deal what does the loss of palettes mean to me.

Thanks,

PS. Please be very specific...

I mean no disrespect, and I am new to AGS so my question may be ill founded. But as I went through the tutorial it mentioned little limitations, for example I believe it said you can only have 20 views/animations/objects on a screen at onces. I mean I understand hardly any computers could handly more than that effectively nor would there really be a need to have more. But why the limit. Why not when you get to 20 have a message come up saying it is in your best interest not to do anymore, but still allow more. Aren't Objects just a Dimmed Variable/Object. Just curious.

Thanks

I am in the process of writing a script for a game I have wanted to create for many years now. I have always been a huge fan of the King's Quest's, Quest for Glory's, and my favorite Gabriel Knight. Now I know what makes a game just absolutely amazing to me. But...

1. What makes an adventure game absolutely amazing to you.

2. What makes an adventure blow beyond all belief to you.

Please be as descriptive as you can; Any other comments are welcome, as a writer I must get in touch w/ the people I am trying to give a thrill to.

Thanks for your time!
