General Discussion / Any Arma 2 players

Hey! I know we mostly do adventure games here, but I was thinking I throw this in here to.

So we are bunch of weekend warriors that like to get together on weekends and play some Arma 2. We do tactical coop games, but nothing too serious. We like to have fun, but doing it "right".
So if there are any Arma 2 players here, check out our steamgroup at: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Arma2coopweekend
We play Arma 2 Combined ops, Saturdays and sundays usually at 18:00 gmt+2. Check the steam group for more info.
You don't have to have steam version of the game in order to join our games.

Jump right in and bring your friends! (since our large scale missions really need more troops!)

Hi folks. Ok I'm continuing with my 3d head model (http://www.distantshitfilms.net/personal/3d/head_wip_2.jpg)
and starting to make the teeth. And since I have no idea how to make it happen I need some help with it.
Should I first, model the teeth, map them, and then attach to the head mesh, or model them, attach and then map with the head?
Only problem is that with my UVW skills I dont know how to get other texture than the skin, applied to the teeth, if they are in the same mesh when mapping.
Is there some plugin that could make the 3d max's unwrapper bit more like a UnrealEd's texture apply system? Or something.
Tips and tutorials would be nice. :)

Firstly, the eyes are too far from each other and too high. The ear looks like shit.
Some might say that the nose is too large, mayby a bit, but I like bignosed characters :) , but still prolly going to rescale it a bit.
Hair will be done after the shape of the head is done.

Edit:
Ok, I shaped the head, moved the eyes, and made them a bit smaller. Still need to work the mouth and ear, and finish the shape of the forehead/rest of the skull.

Hey all. My 6 months of hardwork is over, and the result is here for all to see (and to say "what a piece of s***).
Anywho, technique was 3D, lenght is 6½ minutes, formats are WMV and MOV.
I will not boast the animation no more, you do the math.

Im more than happy to recieve some feedback. It wont change the way that animation is, but it will improve the future projects.

The Scout's story.

The Story
You are Brian Howley, a soldier in the Allied forces in WW2. You hate the war and want to get home as soon as possible. After too many of your friends has fallen in the battlefields, you make the final choice and do anything it takes to leave the battlefields, and go to home. Brian is no wuss, he just dont like war.

The basic plot in the game is going to combine tradegy of the war (you are going to need to shoot things in the game!!)  with hilarious (?!) comedy into a fine mix. And I am hoping that everyone will enjoy this.  




Progress so far
Very little is done by the moment. The begining of the game where the enemy attacks first time is complete. And I have few ideas in my pocket that I am not sure will I make them to be in the game, so somekind of a progress prosents are not easy to say at this moment. But I will update this time to time.

Ok, I decided to post this now. I will add more screenshots as soon as I have enough intrest to do so. I am moving all my energy to this project. And hoping that it will turn out fine. I have about 25-30 % done. I am not sure about when is this going to be finished cuz i have some ideas that might take longer and some that I might not put into the game at all.

Let's hear more about the game then:




Plot:
Your name is John Flankberg, you are an agent in DPD (Deron Police Department). A body is being found in a trash pile in refuse tip and you got the case.
As you investigate the case you will find out that this wasn't just about some murder. I can say that this is going to be really cliche game, but there is no cult behind the actions in city of Deron.
Ideas from the game are mostly taken from another detective games. Well, there are lot's of my own ideas but still.

What do you think of the game? Got it working with ScummVM. Really fine game. Played at my friends when I was a kid and have tried to find it ever since.

Well now I got it. And it still rules! The graphics are sooo sweet and the whole game is funny.

General discussion about the STS1 and STS2. And if you have tested the STS3D please, leave comments about it too.
