General Discussion / Coming back to AGS :)

Wow.. I have been away since 2009. Time flies. Hello everyone!
This used to be my home for a long time, and then I suddenly disappeared. Life happened. :)
Today I feel it's time to get back into AGS and the community around it. ^^

I don't know if anyone remembers, but I made a font pack that became popular back in the day. The DoTT fonts were probably the biggest hits. The link to the pack had probably been dead for years though so I can't get a hold of it.
So I just wanted to check with you guys if there's anyone who still has them lying around somewhere. I've seen them in a lot of games, especially back then, so I'm hopeful. :)

[edit] Oh I found the fonts after some searching. I feel silly ^^

Hey everyone! It's been quite a while since I was active here. Just wanted to say hello. I hope I'll get to know everyone, the old and the "new" guys since I left. ^^
So.. are any of my old pals still around? You know who you are. If you remember me at all. ;D
Do people still use my old font pack btw? I don't even know if you use those kinds of fonts anymore. I need to get up to date. ^^

I started making a game with an old AGS pre 2.56. I updated to 2.56 and everything went wrong in that version. Didn't feel like fixing all the wrongs in the code at that time so i quit.
Now that i do feel like it, how would i go about to import the game to AGS 3.0? If there is a way, even if it's complicated or just a stupid workaround, i'd love to know about it. There's tons of code. Many many rooms, characters, views and whatnot. There's enough graphics and animations for a full length game and i don't want to redo everything.

From heaven to hell

Iterpret this as you like. But i would like to hear a tune wich starts with a character in heaven. Then falls down a lengthy length to land in hell. That was my idea from the beginning.

Hello all.. I guess many of you know about my purple alien project.
Sorry for not posting here for a while.. The project is still on tho..
I was thinking of doing all things by myself.. changed my mind now.. I have no time to do the music.. Sooo.. Could anyone help me out here?

I took a stab at one of those tutorials at worth1000. And here goes..
of course i thought that the tutorial was stupid and totally changed the way to do it.

Hey hey.. I started to work on that purple alien again. Yay!
Thought I'd share a little with you and get some crits on it.

This here is the startin screen:

After that, the menu screen comes up, lookin like the last frame of the intro.avi. And this tune starts:

What is the Photoshop Phriday?

The two above websites should give a fair idea of what is involved. Also you can check out the earlier Photoshop Phridays in this forum.

Note: Photoshopping isn't drawing a completely new image -- It's editing images to create a new image, such as editing one image or combining several images.

Also, you don't have to specifically use Photoshop -- Paint Shop Pro or any other ~equally good programs can be used.

Allright.. We are starting up a new enhanced Photoshop Phriday. And the first assignment will be fairly easy. But only this time doods..

So what are we supposed to do, you say. Well, since this one is the first in a long time that we actually will do some serious Photoshoppin, you will be following this tutorial:

Hey all!
Here's the main character for my short/medum length game.
Yes he is nude.. He will change outfits and also wander around nude if necessary.  ;D

C&C is very welcome.

And if anyone feel like putting on some non-ordinary pirate clothes, i would be most grateful because i am kinda stuck here.

EDIT:
I've decided to let him go nude on all of you.

Also which one of these do you like the most?
The one to the right is 2 frames longer, making a smoother but slower movement..
