Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you all know that we're holding another contest! If you don't already, you should know that it's possibly the most fun you could have as a game creator. Or, maybe not. It's hard to know.



Anyways, we'll be getting together (through the power of the interwebs) to make games, livestream development, chat it up, meet people, and hang out.

It'll start on November 9, 2013 at midnight Eastern Time EST (US) and end at midnight Eastern Time on November 18, 2013. The theme will be announced at the start of the contest.

We'd love to get some adventure games in on the fun as well! I feel like I don't see a lot of them in jams and contests.

We've got a huge prize pack as well for the top three entries! Here's a little teaser of all the games you can win:

Howdy everyone that makes up the AGS community! It's been a while (way too long, way too long) since I last posted anything here, however just wanted to let you all know that we are starting a new contest! Woooo! I don't really know what to say besides this'll probably be the most fun you'll have all Summer -- or maybe not.

In case you're new to how Game Jolt contests work, it's pretty much like this: We get together (through the power of the interwebs) to make games, live stream as we develop, chat it up, and hang out. There'll be prizes, featured games, and hopefully some Good Ol' Fashioned Fun Time(tm).

Not just that, but we built out a whole new page just for contests! It'll allow us to connect our live stream accounts, tweet about the contest, and see everything that everybody is doing, all in a nice activity feed.

I wanted to be sure you guys knew because I remember how supportive everyone was when Game Jolt initially launched over 3 years ago. We'd all love to have some Adventure games submitted.

CROS from Game Jolt here. Not sure if any of you remember me, but I posted at the beginning of the year a bit about Game Jolt and had some community support from you guys, which was great. Just wanted to let you know that we've been busy at work on a new tool for game developers: achievements (trophies, highscores, etc).

The goal is to create an achievements system that works with as many platforms as possible while still being extremely easy to use. We currently just launched it as a closed beta and are looking for some interested devs to test the system out and write tools to work with it. If any of you guys would be interested in having trophies in AGS, I could spend some time writing up a plugin.

Some of you may have already heard about Game Jolt's plans regarding an Ad Revenue Sharing system for developers. We're extremely excited to finally announce that the closed beta is now starting! We've posted more information on the site to hopefully answer all the questions you may have.

That's not all, though. To kick off the beta we're going to be running a game making contest! Three winners will be picked, all of which will be immediately accepted into the closed beta of the Ad Revenue Sharing system as well as have their games featured on the front page of the site. A first place winner will also receive a free single game from Steam (no packs)!

Just wanted to keep you updated with some new developments on the site. While we've hinted at it in the past, we're finally revealing some information on Ad Revenue Sharing on Game Jolt. This has usually been reserved for just Flash/casual games, but in our long fight to rid the world of greedy publishers, here ya go!

Hey AGS users, this is the lead developer of a new site that just came out called Game Jolt.
I was told I could post in these forums, so here goes...

I've noticed a lot of freeware game developers are having a hard time hosting their games, and so I wanted to give them a place where they could put their games up without worry of them every going down. No more broken links when people are trying to download your games.

Game Jolt allows developers to publicize their freeware games, post news, screenshots, files to download, etc. It's all run by the developers themselves, so you'll have full control of how your games are displayed on our site.

We'll host the first 25 developers that sign up, whether you want to use us as a mirror or the main download site. Even if you already have a host for your game, you could always add Game Jolt as a mirror. It's also good to just have exposure for your game across the net. After the first 25, new developers will have to host their game's files elsewhere.

We opened our hosting up to everyone! So, if anyone has a game to put up, we'll host it till the end of time!

It just launched, and as such it's in a very beta state right now. We'd appreciate any feedback you may have on the site, or ideas/criticism. If you find any bugs, you may post them here in the forum, or notify us at contact@gamejolt.com.
