is there a method to get the size of an array?

I got it, the size given is equal to the upper bound -1, now everything's clear and works pretty well, THANKS

here's what I've got:

to manage the code easier, I decided to put some objects in an array, which works fine, I love it. But to avoid possible bugs, I would like to implement a query if a particular array index is out of bounds. What I need is a check if an array is null or not. Any ideas?

thank you for the suggestion, but I like the function to be global, it's in a if-loop now and is going to be activated when the room property is appropriate. I hope this will be fine now, if not I will follow your advice

Where are you calling the code that does this?
If it is in repeatedly_execute or room_RepExec it would probably work to use repeatedly_execute_always instead.

I put it in the global script's room_RepExec function, putting it in repeatedly_execute_always helped. THANX!, now I have to solve the problem with the parallax scrolling, the function is object-related and in the room-script

I have some issues with making my character walk and pick up an object while scrolling the parallax background.
- the game resolution is 428 px in width but the background is 320 px (the remaining space is a GUI), therefore I fixed it with SetViewPort depending on the character's X-position.
- there is a parallax scrolling background which works pretty well
The problem appears when the character is doing something. Blocking stops the scrolling, and NoBlock runs the functions at once. What I need is making the character go to position xy and then pick up an object (change view etc), do you have any suggestions? I think, there is a solution using the rooms repeatedly_execute function but in my opinion, that's quite inconvenient.

I was a little bit confused, because to get the "japanese word" you have to be at the same location where the elevator is, the other possibility is the poster in the office and requires some knowledge of katakana. So I guess, you could read the hidden message in the office and I'm really impressed by your abilities sir

case BohemianYard is closed once and for all. I made many mistakes while creating this game, but I've learnt a lot too, thus I know, how to avoid faux pas in the future. I'm sorry that it took so long to accomplish BohemianYard (former Mhoczny Dom). I wanted to make it perfect, but I failed. There are almost sixty rooms, five different endings, there could be some orthographic mistakes left, I don't know, I don't care, I'm at BrickJove now.

even if you've never heard of "fukitor", simply try to imagine a guy from Illinois, who is producing his own comics and comic-zines and distributing them to all over the world within a time period of 18 years (2000-2018). His name is Jake Karns and he never got rich or famous, but he never intended to. He was my biggest inspiration and his art was probably the reason why I started to draw my own comics. I always ordered his newest issues and visited his blog regularly until his entire online-presence has disappeared. His fukitor.blogspot is gone at no notice as well as his facebook page. I guess, he's simply tired of doing the same stuff since almost two decades, but his art deserves to be remembered, even if the only person who cares is me, a geeky guy from Germany. I collected all his publications including unfinished projects and I want to compile a simple video presentation depicting some unfinished stories, no big deal, but I would like to tell a short story, why fukitor is actually disappeared (fiction) and recite some of the letterings.
If you are a taleted voice actor and willing to support underground comics, maybe you are a wtiter too, then let us create this tribute together
my idea of JAke's disappearance is as follows: kidnapped by al-qhaida for some sensitive content (you have to know that fukitor is not really politically correct, Jake's comics are imo the biggest tribute to the so called exploitation movies including a lot of boobs, blood and swearwords), his blog and facebook has been deleted by NSA and so on...

I like the surreal tone of the last page.

IMO you should leave a gap between each upper and lower panel. Currently, it's not easy to spot which text refers to which panel.
