I've been looking on this project for a while now and it looks like a very remarkable sprite editor, and when released, a good choice for animators and gamemakers of all kinds.

If the resolution limitations of ags becomes a matter of the past and this software becomes compatible with ags, life would be just awesome!

So, all of the AGS engine and editor programmers and gurus, please have a look to the kickstarter site of the project. It looks just soooo nice.

Keep up the good work, mates.

A hug for all, and thanks visionmind for spotting the project.  ;)

Looks nice! and story seems very promising! just dont let it run like those bad relic hunting tv movies out there... BUT HEY, your character has a fedora, that is always good  ;D
#3
Are you sure he is standing in a Walkable X Y area? You must set this up first in the rooms editor, though. Also, the walkable area must be of a decent size for the character to move with no problems.

C'mon. We all know the genre is dead... If they want to make some kind of profit, then it must be a PORN ADVENTURE.  ;D

It looks gorgeous. Like the former version. But nicer on my HD screen.

IM SO FREAKIN JEALOUS. Whats your middle name, guys...? Talent...?  :o

You might as well try making Old Testament: The Point & Click Adventure.

Mmm... Thats PERFECT for an EPISODIC game... xD And good for neverending PROFITS, also...  ;D

That would be great! i also think the hatch is awesome for a scene of an episodic game of LOST, kind of the Maniac Mansion games or the RON games... But maybe there are not enough fans of the series on the forum, though...

Btw, i just love the Dharma logo on the floppy discs... ;D

*phone rings*
"Hello? What? Walter, slow down. Walter, I can't... WILL YOU CALM DOWN YOU ASTHMATIC LUNATIC! That's better, now explain to me... escaped? What? How did that happen? Dear God, man... can't you keep it in your pants for five seconds!? Well... I'm not going to worry. I'm sure one of your toy robots isn't going to give me any trouble, even if it is piloted by a pair of vampire twins. I'm perfectly safe inside... No that isn't an alarm you can hear, that's just the, uh, microwave. I'm having a baked potato... yes, they are better done in the oven but... look, Walter, I'm a busy man... Yes I'll let you know if I see them but really I have better things to do. Yes. Goodbye, Walter."
*puts phone down*

Muttering to self: "Grad students... give them a chemistry set and a brain in a jar and suddenly they think they're Victor Frankenstein!"

Over loudspeaker: "Attention all guards. This is not a drill. Execute Giant Robot defense plan Alpha immediately. I repeat: this is not a drill... and someone turn that damn alarm off!"

That was the best bit of a script i've read in two years. I pissed myself! And now i have to clean it! And even so i'm happy! ;D ;D ;D

sounds great so far.

the only bad thing i could say, maybe that "piiiing" at the start, and sometimes, is kinda funny, it reminds me of a bad Goosegumps score, but dont know the story the sog is based on, so may be fine as well.

Also, maybe expand the theme with a "bridge" (dont know the term in english) in the middle of the song, or just some different motif.

Bur really great, it makes me nervous and thrilled! :o

Dont want to continue diggin up this thread,  but as an Spanish user, i think the language barrier is TOO MUCH for many, many people out there. And, ok, it a work of author, then its kind of artistic, aka a work of art, then... is for everyone.

Someone makes a point with the "piracy" argument, but the majority are free games, so, i think the best, and more reasonable solution woud be to have an option in the editor.

I agree on the "more pros than cons" argument. Just think on many many animes out there. And if a translation is really bad, is almost sure some person will redo it again.

A check option could be a wonderful and simple solution.

Cheers,

Hi folks

i offer my services in these categories:

Voice Acting -  Strange sounds, accents, spaniards, mexicans, etc,

Translation -  Spanish translation, (from Spain and Neutral for Latin America)

Dialogs - Just spanish but with that old school feel to them  ;)

Character Portraits -  Not too much polished and usually based on actual people, just for fun.

Background art - Based on photographs, a bit of sierra-like or gabriel knight style, see examples downpage

Midi music - Not an expert, but i can do some music

Ambient sounds - got plenty of sound libraries

Incidental music - Modern, not full scored but ambient music, dark or misterious.

Examples:

Portraits (not animated here, though)

THAT'LL DEFINETELY BE MY NEW MSN AVATAR.

Gosh. Damn, the talent of these AGSers...

arggh, this is the kind of game that always makes me want to give up on my game due to the graphic department... at firts, i always go to the old school 320x200 resolution, but then i look everywhere to this stunning backgrounds and sprites and just keep thinking " what should i do, whaaaaat?"

i always get the same answer in my head: just GET YOUR F**** GAME DONE and shut up!  ::)

text parser! awesome!

but... well, i usually get problems when writing commands due to the non-english brain i have... I just remember the hours and hours i spent on Colonels Bequest just for things that in spanish sounded logical, and ingame just like nonsense.

nevertheless, great game so far!

I really like the story and the marvelous old school graphics, and the fact you're releasing this shortly just thrills me! i just expect the plot and twists are great and original, and just dont fall on the "hey, it was HIM all the time" but, even if thats the case, if the puzzles and dialogs are good, i`ll be happy to play.

My god... that is what i call FAST translating... Well then, i'll simply have to PLAY this wonderful game...  ;D
Just cant wait for the demo!

Hi Jande and Quo! just wanted to say how great this project is, and damn! you all work fast! The work is INCREDIBLE (en dos palabras, IN-PREZIONANTE). Its really nice to see how detailed the characters and backgrounds are, wish i were so talented.

I was happy to see you both here, i often read you there at the indianajones.es site.

Keep up the good work! And if you need a translator, well, im not the best, but maybe i can help a bit.

And PLEASE... make a puzzle so we can be who POISON that EVIL MONKEY! (arrrrgh, that monkey... the ba****d)...

Hi everyone!

I'm Lumpupu, from the sunny and warm Spain (well, maybe not on February). I'm 25 and have been reading this forums since 2004, or well, the first releases of AGS, but never dare to register, till now... (yeah, talk about shy)

Well, i knowI'm nobody for the veteran (and aged) ags users here, as Calin, Steve McCrea, Pumaman -godhimself-, Nick Sideris, ProgZmax, Grundislav and everyone of these wonderful people who filled my expectations with games, since the good ol' days of lucasarts and Sierra. Also, thanks to CJ and the forums i discover the talent of Miez, M0ds and many, many people of the low resolution world (and cheers up to Dave Gil for his games!)

Maybe i sound a bit... extrange... odd... or plain freakish, but i feel like i've been in a summer camp with you, cause i laughted, cried, i even was happy for that guy-dont remember- who just got a new kidney! lol

Well, just wanted to say hello to all of you, once for all, and even i have never ended a single game I'm more of an artist-writer-voice actor myself) i wanted to share a bit of my passion with you all.

I'll be stalking (muahahahahaha) the forums as i usually do, but this time i promise writing a little.

Just for anybody interested:
Skills: Character-realistic portrait artist, a bit of backgrounds, a bit of midi music, dialog, funny dialogs, some crazy puzzle designing, voice acting
favourite pixel game: well, love the first MI, but i really loved the humour of the dialogs in The Dagger of Amon Ra (that's serious gaming, Roberta! -never a real fan of Kings Quest Saga... :P) and well, indiana jones, of course! OH, OH! AND BEN JORDAN (wiiii!)

favourite movie: well... thats difficult. Just to be original... i adore Austin Powers! lol and Shawn of the Dead. And all of Mel Brooks, man!
favourite meal: tortilla de patatas (potato omelette)

flaws: ive got terrible memory (maybe the adult ADHD I may have... xD or just absent minded...

dream: make my own game one day (its already fully written, but never goes far an alpha demo... >_<)

Hoping to help someday in a game! See you all!   ;)

Regards,
Lumpupu
