sometimes we have more need to be creative than just having more of 'a social life' . The result of creativity can be very rewarding. These results definately deserve two months of less social life i think.Besides it is only a small period of time.Well done.

I downloaded your game dreammaster, and i have to say that you did a very nice job!Ã,  :=
The source can be very helpful for the begginers and it was a kind move of yours.

I believe that soon an artist will help with the graphics.
Someone called auroranoir(do not remember the exact name) had draw some good backgrounds for this game.
Does anyone have his email?

How long did it take you to program the game ?

PS : are you interested in replacing your current icons
(hand, talk, walk etc) with colored icons of space quest 4 CD ROM version ? or even king's quest colored pointers ?

Edwin, believe me the introduction screen with the logos was the easiest part of the job. I did not neglect to do it
because of lack of experience. :)

I had already prepared the vga version of the introduction, but unfortunately due to disk errors  in a disk of Radiant, he lost them (and vga objects were lost as well). No worry though as i have resent the files to him.

About the eyes , i decided not to make him looking right and left like a autistic, and instead have him STARING at the player with this imposing-scaring look and only move his hand. Maybe the ega eyes animations has to be removed.

I could draw a vga version of his dreams, but we had
decided with Radiant to work only on background art
objects, and animated objects of the backgrounds, and NOT on sprites because i had not so much time.

Then a second artist could offer his help in this area by drawing sprites.(including the dream of Alex which shows sprites only).

Radiant no problem i will send you the objects again. I saw the torches of the basement. ( I wanted to play with lighting so the right torch was intended to be off, hence the darkness of the right side of the room)

But i had created several types of candles to be put to specific rooms as well : for example
mannanan's, slave's ,study room etc, which would be light up during night.

Plus Ã, i noticed that you put the initial version of some backgrounds i had done ,the ones that had still shots of candles with flames Ã, and without the stair 'rails'. The final version omits candles, and candles-flames can be put indepedently as objects.

i also had Ã, prepared a starting screen imitating the feel classic king's quest V and VI starting screen.

I will send you again the right pictures.

Radiant i noticed that you did not use the VGA version of various animated and non animated objects (doors,cups,spoons,drawers,mirrors  etc ) nor the new animated flames of candles. Does this have to do with the latest news you told me 10 days ago ?

ok let's see the situation again :
Mannanan is embarassed by a young slave and defeated in the first part of llewdor. He promises revenge, and full of wrath, after breaking Alex's spell with difficulty finds the latter in daventry.
And before casts the death spell on Alex,
Alex interrupts him and offers him a soup
!!! Mannanan then forgets his wrath and decides to eat food from the hands of his worst enemy! The enemy that made him a cat some days ago!!!

Excuse me, but this plot makes mannanan seem so stupid and ingenuous. Not to mention how greedy-guts he is, postponing a revenge in order to eat food. Food from enemy no less!

No i did not want to point that collage is a sin. Stay cool. Collage is cool when it is done well (see Lucasfan - however i think that LF is too humble to admit that he is very good in drawing and editing as well ;) )I use collage when i can too.

I talked about your collage to dictateÃ,  what i thought it was 'wrong' for my taste.

For example the specific texture is a zoomed detail from the sacred mountain, whereas the kq3 original picture shows a mountain from a distant point of view. Perhaps we should use collage with a vga distant mountain as well . I hope that
you know what i mean  :-\

maybe it is because he blends sierra graphics with his graphics. They do not blend so well in this example.
For example the mountain (which is the most detailed) is a rip from
KQ6 Isle of the Sacred mountain, while the path trees, rocks are his.
The path looks like painted on the mountain and does not look so realistic.

I visited AGDI and i just figured out what you meant dreammaster :D

I am afraid that it is not what you have in mind :(Ã,  Besides, the poll results were so depressing, that the idea was abandoned!

The package was a code component written in C.Radiant asked me if i still have it. He wanted it and i sent it to him. :)

agree. The only difference is that with the walkthrough you know how far you can go in the game. So you do not spend time trying to continue in the game while the real logic has not been implemented by the programmer.

Perhaps Radiant you should provide a working walkthrough of the beta to the testers to help them accelerate the testing process.

SP, you can do it easier if you have a reference. For example take your own room as an example and try to immitate it in the graphics program. Examine the pattern and the color of your room, and try to create the shame shape and choose the closest color. The same with the walls, etc. Try to draw this and post the results. Shading is next! :)

I will fix them earlwood, when i find some time.

Sutebi : i will be damned! I did not know that the game informed you that it was a moss. Whenever i wrote 'examine' 'look' to extract information about the glowing green thing it just said that they are trees. It is moss!!! Now i have to change all my backgrounds and make the green glow light to resemble to moss! :(

That's why photoshop has brushes. I love them. The results are rewarding. ;)

I will reconsider the green thing on the trees and modify it. Perhaps if i find time for a space quest 2 remake you will see the finished version! ;D

The texturing was done the hard way...
hours and hours and pixel by pixel. :o

I tend to think - i am not sure though- that the green on the trees is green neon  glow from the planet. So i put a green crystal to justify the glow of the trees. :)

The AGI picture did not provide enough information  about the origin of this green thing. I made an assumption.
