Please consider our game, Cale Quest, in your voting.

It is a grand adventure about sandwhichsmithship and the human condition.  The tale of a young man in a dangerous world where only the tough get a tasty treat.  To make his sandwich, Cale must solve puzzles and roll dice with a hobo.  If you haven't played it yet, please take a few moments to download it and give it a whirl.

Watch our preview here.

And download here.

You can also find us in the AGS Game Database.

Thank you for your consideration.  We're very pleased that so many of you have enjoyed Cale Quest, and we've been happy to have experienced many of your games as well.

I like the energetic, kind-of "in your face" close-ups and tight frames.

Thanks!  We had a lot of fun with those. :-D

I think the way I would do this is by creating a new view with just the single frame.  Say that is view 6.  Then in your dialog just change the speech view in the code.   It might look something like this.
Code: ags

Ego: Blah Blah
Other: Blah Blah
Ego: Blah Blah
    cEgo.SpeechView=6; //have ego squint eyes
Ego: Blah Blah
cEgo.SpeechView=2; //change speech view back to normal
Ego Blah Blah

And so forth.  Let me know if that helps.

DBoyWheeler-
We haven't played Discworld, but the dialog system is similar to Sam and Max Hit the Road, also.  We think you'll be pretty pleased with it.  Should I check out Discworld?

Miguel-
Thanks!  It feels good to finally be ready to send it out.

AGS Games in Production / Cale Quest

Cale Quest is the tale of a hungry man who really just wants a sandwich.  Cale must travel through the little town of Matlock in search of worthy ingredients to make the finest sandwich in all the land.

After about two years of production we are almost ready to send it into this world.  We put our heart and soul into this game and are very excited to share it with the AGS community.  It is a full length game featuring nostalgic graphics, original music and challenging puzzles.   What we need now is a small group of beta testers.  If you're interested, please get in touch with us via contact@amuzoarts.com

Here's a little more about the game:

This is the town map.  There are seven areas where you can go, which adds up to 27 rooms, not including cutscenes and whatnot.

Here's an example of one of our icon-based dialogue trees.

And this is an example of dialog.

We also have a few mini-games like mowing the lawn, an arcade game, and throwing dice on the sidewalk with a hobo.

And there are a few animated cutscenes.

We're very excited about this game, and hope that you will enjoy it.  Please do get in contact with us about beta testing, we need your help!  Reach us at contact@amuzoarts.com and visit us at http://www.amuzoarts.com
