It is what it is. Things are slowly returning to normality, have not received my account back nor will I ever it seems.

I saw this post too late...your hacker hacked my discord too tonight...I really thought it was you since it was a game for him to test...arg.... 
Then he hacked my X account... but I managed to recover it...
I created another discord account to warn him on my server...he asked me for money to get the account back...I cut everything off and dropped the discord...
FYI it's a 2d pixel art game he's asking to test. Obviously when you click, you get screwed...
I'm usually suspicious, but as it was from the nice Dualnames team with whom we'd done a lot of dev work...well, I was fooled...

And apparently, i got hacked too because of it.

I was dealing with him for a script on AGS via discord. Everything went well until today, when it seems that his account has been hacked for a few weeks. Since I thought he was trustworthy and he's a dev, I was fooled.
I think this hacker who stole his account is really going to wreak havoc... be careful!
If you meet him on Discord or elsewhere and he asks you to install a 2D pixel art game to test it...don't be fooled.

The New trailer 

I played the demo with French speech and English subtitles. The game is probably not for everyone, because the humour is indeed of the crude variety. The goat ends up with a couple of his own arse hairs in his inventory early on, so the tone is set right away. 

The characters are drawn big and lovely, in cartoon style familiar from Adipson's other games. The animation is nice, too. I liked the whole of the presentation, with setup screens, multiple languages, helpful buttons to show hotspots and colourful maps helping navigation, and investigation notes made as you progress. (Though I had forgotten about the space bar and spent some play time searching for a necessary item.)

The music is from familiar sources, like Eric Matyas and Kevin MacLeod, and it's really good and fits the game very much.

The humour is the do or die of the game. If you like the idea of characters looking like animated animals from a kids show talking dirty and doing everything you wouldn't expect them to do, then this may appeal to you. If not, it's probably not your lawn to mow. An example of the humour can be that the murder victim in the demo, a pig, is turned into sausages. I'm getting some vibes from Sam & Max, and some from Rock'n Roll will Never Die.

Yes indeed, it's my humor, it's particular and my inspirations are obvious like Sam & Max or Day of Tentacle (see image above).
 Following the demo I noticed that many English-speaking players still kept the voices in French. I was surprised, I expected them to cut them but suddenly it's quite nice to see that.

Who told you that Grandma Badass was excluded from the 2022 awards? I'm 99.9% that it wasn't. You can see that it's included on the list of eligible games here, and you even made a FYC post about it here. I also remember playing the demo when I was making my nominations (though I don't remember if I ended up nominating it for anything).

Yes...games is register on december 2022 on the database..but you can see this post you show me was the Sunday 08/01/2023 14:06:25... because december was too late....
so i post for 2023 my grandma..but is recorded in database on december...that's my question...

This is my 3rd point and click game that I'm currently developing with AGS 3.6 for Windows PC.


I'm still working as an independent solo developer on a crazy point-and-click game.
This time you control two characters who often come into conflict with each other because of their opposing characters, which doesn't make the police investigation into which these two detectives are plunged any easier.

The Police Captain has entrusted this duo of detectives, Magret the refined duck and FaceDebouc the boorish goat, with the investigation into the crime of Mr Couane, a pig trader cut up into pieces and turned into sausage...


It's a police investigation where you have to find clues, question witnesses, interrogate suspects and solve puzzles...
The game is expected to last between 4 and 6 hours.


The game, native in French, should have a minimal translation into English and German by AI (Googletranslate/chatGPT) (because the game's kickstarter page is not turning over enough funds to hire English/German voice actors and English/German translators for this game made in French with French voices).

I don't know about Steam marketing, but you should create a new entry here in the Games DB for the full game. This way it shows up in the new games list on the website and it will also be eligible for the next AGS awards.

So I tried 3 times to register on https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/add/

Nothing happens, once the form is sent it freezes the page, nothing happens and the game does not register.
I also tried to update the old file that was in the database https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/2505-grandma-episode-1-confinement-2021-/

but nothing either...
when it doesn't want to...it doesn't want to

[4 years of development on AGS]

Hello !
After 4 years of development on AGS, I'm happy to announce that my point and click game Grandma Badass final and complete version is officially released on Steam since late November 2022.



Started in January 2019, this game is finally completed and I can now move on, although I'm struggling to make it known (marketing budget = the same as the budget during the game = 0 $/€).
While the feedback from players (you can see it in the comments/critiques) on Steam is all positive.







It offers a totally crazy adventure, which lasts between 8 and 10 hours of play depending on its point and click level (see 6-7 for experts).

Released as episode 1 in September 2021, all players who trusted this project at the time by buying the game, have seen the full version replace the episode directly on Steam.
But releasing it as an episode a year ago was a fatal mistake as it no longer enjoyed Steam's coverage as a new release, being considered old when it was released...
Any advice? Never release your complete game by episode (unless you plan to make dlc to a base game)
