There are some nice places that you got there in your game, the chair is good looking. Sadly I am not into photo realistic characters or scenery at all.

Hi. I listened to Khris and got the reshack program, changed the icon to a green color. And the weirdest thing happened. The  icon of the program has changed but the icon in the editor is still blue? 8-0 Why is that? Crimson? Khris? Anyone has any idea?

edit:using gimp, I re-do all the color using the exported ico file from reshack:

I tried changing the icon using ResHack (the newest version is from Nov 2016) but the editor crashed right after displaying the splash screen.
Looks like compiling it yourself is the only way for now.
ok Thanks Khris.

Yeah, the AGS community is a still pretty unique and, sadly, rapidly vanishing kind of corner of the internet where newcomers don't have to feel threatened to speak their piece, nor feel they have something to prove...
ok. I will try to be un-threatened as best as I can. I am not easily offended(at least I like to think that). This forum has a lot of great guys that did some really great things using AGS, I don't want to say something inappropriate of disrespectful by accident. I just hope I could maybe do a simple game that play like the demo. I have low expectations with my skills.

Best of luck with your solution!
Thanks. You guys are quite active in this forum. I am surprised. I thought I will get any reply maybe only after a month but nope. :)

Don't do it man. It's really not worth it!
OMG I am so sorry I did not see your post there. It was very rude of me. Didn't mean to ignore people like that. Yeah it is not worth it I am sure but still. Obsessive compulsive LOL

@Crimson Wizard: Thanks for reply! God if it isn't the Crimson Wiazrd himself! What an honor! Thanks for pointing out my mistake. Yes it is better to try changing the icon in an exe file using some sort of hacking program. If anyone knows about any such program and wants to tell me it would be great. If not I will try my best to compile this thing myself(really hope it would not come to that).

Next thing we will have the Editor come in a rainbow of color choices (laugh)

Mind you.....
Hey Slasher, that is my secret plan.

Thank you Gilbert for the swift reply. I thought of compiling the exe too using a new icon i made(changed the mug color) but that is above my skill level.

EDIT:OK. Guess I have to do it myself. How to compile the acwin.exe from scratch? Anyone please point me to the right direction it would be great?

Hi. Sorry if this is not the right forum, I am having a hard time categorizing this question. I searched the forum but found nothing.

I don't know how to put this delicately so here goes: I do not like the blue color of the mug AGS desktop icon. Sorry to those who like the traditional blue color. Please don't kill me. Is there anywhere to change it to different color and shade? I know I can change the one on my desktop, but I would like to change the one at the top left corner when I am doing things in the editor. Could someone be so kind to change it to something more green and totally not blue for me? Please send me the finished acwin.exe file(without mp3 support). Or someone could tell me how to do it myself that would be great? I like green color. I hope Crimson Wizard gave people some choice of the color for the mug but that is probably too much to ask. Thanks in advance.

EDIT 8 OCT: Hi. I listened to Khris and got the reshack program, changed the icon to a green color. And the weirdest thing happened. The  icon of the program has changed but the icon in the editor is still blue? 8-0 Why is that? Crimson, do you have any idea?

Hi
I am new here. It was my friend Blondebraid who asked me to come here! I am a 25 years old MSC in media technology and game developement and am exited to join the community.
Hi Hortencya12, welcome and hope you have a great time here. I am new here too. I am a 30-ish male, came from Malaysia. I hope to do something- anything- with this wonderful AGS. I am really grateful for this. I have little c++ background, and I feel let there is an egg waiting to be hatched inside me, as long as I do it with AGS. I hope everyone can have their eggs hatched in this forum, I have got a dream !!!! You got a dream too, I know it!

That estimated release date together with those screenshots tell me this game is actually going to happen. Keep it up op.

Nice looking modular characters with changeable part you got there.

Thank you Crimson Wizard and everyone else that made this new release possible. Been a bit busy(and lazy) to code any game but I am still grateful for all the amazing bug fixes to the editor. Thanks.

Did you try asking in the Advanced Technical Forum http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?board=2.0

The new colored lighting look very bad to me. Who would use colored light in their house like that? Better to use ordinary light for common rooms and save those colored lights for rare occasions or special rooms.

The kitchen looks great. I like the art style of objects in it. Like they were made of simple low poly model with acceptable texture and lighting shade. I like the red table clothe very much. Do not change your art style just to make objects more detailed because sometimes less detail is better.

Good job Trample Pie. You made the whole walking sequence looks far smoother now. I think that op animation looks wrong because the centre of the character was not placed correctly inside the frame box.

When a piece of art is hand-painted it does not necessary meant it was painted "pixel by pixel"(it is possible but very rare nowadays unless it was for an extremely low res game). Everything you see on a monitor is made of many pixels, the number of pixel available on the screen is called "Screen resolution". For example a screen resolution of 1600 x 1200 means 1600 x 1200 pixels(not to be confused with “Pixel density”).
