Quote from: Kastchey on Wed 05/03/2025 21:33:52We are looking for a streamer (ideally who can also record the ceremony), and as many presenters as we can get. Please let me know here or via PM if you can help :)

I know that Rojo Aventuras will broadcast the ceremony and will comment on it. But in Spanish.

Quote from: Crimson Wizard on Wed 12/02/2025 00:22:14I'd like to know, how many people are actually using 3.6.2 to make actual games at the moment?

I understand that more people are switching directly to AGS 4.0 already, which is good, but are there ones who stay at 3.x and try 3.6.2? This is to be aware of how much potentially tested this version is.

I'm using the latest version 3.6.1 for my new game. I will be upgrading to 3.6.2 shortly. But I doubt I will use 4.0 for this game.

Quote from: Joacim Andersson on Thu 02/01/2025 14:00:55Today, you can add several backgrounds to create an animated background, but what about different layered backgrounds to create a parallax effect?

The easiest way to make a parallax effect without modules is this:

Code: ags
 oparallax.X=-(0)-(GetViewportX()/6);

The first number is the position and the next is the speed of the parallax. This is the method I use in my games.

Some people still think that my best game is Billy Master Was Right (a short, free game made during the lockdown). Much better than my other commercial games that took me about two years each. And I am happy with that. Maybe they saw something in it that wasn't there in Nightmare Frames or An English Haunting. In a way I'm proud that something so small and unpretentious struck a chord with some players.

For your consideration:

A madness for spiritualism has gripped London in 1907. Séances and theatrical shows where spirits make contact with their living families are all the rage, and there are a legion of investigators trying to discover the secrets of the supernatural. Among them, Professor Patrick Moore stands at the forefront, and he is now at a crossroads ‒ he's got 72 hours to prove the existence of the Great Beyond or else his Metapsychic Investigations Department will shut down forever.

Racing against the clock, with the help of a fake medium named Beatrice Shaw, he must complete a prototype of the Box of Revelations, an artefact devised by his missing mentor that enables seeing dimensions hidden in our reality. Building this device will take him from the foggy streets of London to the steep shores of Scotland, and finally to 34 Benwell Street, known as the most haunted manor of England.

I had been looking for something that would simplify this task for a long time. Thank you very much, Khris!

Quote from: Kweepa on Thu 04/03/2010 21:53:15I made a module to do this (for future reference):
http://www.kweepa.com/step/ags/tech/ButtonMouseOverSound.zip
It uses an extender function so you can just put something like this in the global script game_start:
btnInvOK.SetMouseOverSound(aBonk, aDonk);

The second parameter is the mouse off sound. Both params can be null.
Steve

Does anyone have this module in their files?

Quote from: agentbauer on Fri 07/06/2024 09:23:40Only thing, could have been longer and do you plan doing a sequel, after THAT ending?

It's just a shocking ending. There are no plans for a sequel. There are so many more stories to tell and so little time! :-D

Done. Sometimes I forget to post on Mastodon because my main social network is Twitter and what I post on Mastodon doesn't have much impact either.

Update the main post with the new trailer:

And mark your calendars to May 15th. The game will be released that day on Steam and Itch!

It keeps happening.

Good to know as well! But if any of us have had the same problem today, I'm guessing it's some Windows Defender recent update as is being discussed here.

The same thing just happened to me today: Unable to set EXE name/description: LoadLibrary failed.
