I knew someone would take me as a pornography crazed weenie when I posted this, no offence to anybody.

Now look what you've done! You've gone and made me nervous. The game is only 'medium length', and there are only about 4 characters in the game. Since the whole thing is based in Donalds small neigborhood.

I doubt the game will be as good as Phils or Yahtzees games but I hope to make it somewhat entertaining.

Also, thanks for the complements guys, I really appreciate it.

AGS Games in Production / Missing Porno - 48%
Thu 16/12/2004 02:57:49
Well, here is my game in progress. This one is called "Missing Porno". It's about a dull teenager in a dull neighborhood. Donald (the main character) comes home to a boring day of work at the donut shop. Soon, Donald realizes that his 'dirty magazines' his grandfather gave him were gone! But Donald eventually forgets about it, knowing that the magazines were outdated and the chicks shown in mags were well in their 60's by now.

Soon after, Donald turns on his television to find a weird story on the news. The news reader says that a rare collection of 'pornographic magazines' have been declared are well worth over 5000 American dollars an issue. Donald's on the edge of his bed with a shocked look on his face, as he waits for the name of the magazines. The news reader says what seemed like forever: The name of this magazine are "Dourty Cheeks Monthly". Donalds eyes grow large and his heart drops, Donalds grampa gave him nearly 200 issues of these before he kicked the bucket. Now they're GONE!

Donald gets up, takes a deep breath, and walks out into his gloomy neighborhood... to find his missing porno.

Below are some screens.

All of the rooms and sprites are drawn in MS-paint, so now you know why they look so crappy.

Thanx for the tip on the story, at first, I did start to draw rooms before I came up with the story.  I then , stopped in the middle and I fit the story with the starting rooms I drew. Which ,I did, run into problems, but I came through though.

I still suck at using the program, but i'm going to stick with and hopefully get better.  AGS is a wonderful engine.

AGS Games in Production / Cidneys Quest

I am creating a middle length game called "Cidneys Quest". This is my first game, but not my first attempt.
I recently tried to make a zombie game called "Mad Block", but the way I wanted the game to go was to diffictult (Scripting, need lots of it for madblock) to create, because I wanted it to be a arcade/puzzle.

So here's a screen shot of Cidneys Quest. I am not releasing a demo because its so short.

Cidney gets an interview with an real estate president, Cid wonders why he's hiring him with such a low grade point average (0.2).  Cid AlSO is wondering why the president wanted him do dress in dark clothing.

Cidney goes for his interview and finds out that the real estate owner wants Cid to break into houses that the president owns.
It appears that the president has theifs around the world walking in houses that he owns steeling valuables. The owner gives a key to the house he want Cidney to break in.  This is where Cidneys adventure begins, but its not going to be easy.

Sorry man, im going to have to stall on this one.  Until I can figure out how to combine arcade into puzzle, this one isn't coming out anytime soon.  I'm just going to make some simple games.  As soon as I get more practice on AGS, i'll continue MadBlock.

Hey!  Sorry about the demo.  I, truthfully, did'nt think anyone cared for the game.  A few people did'nt care for the lighting effect I put in the game, and I have a BIG problem...I can't take off the lightening effect.  I have already savethe rooms with the effect, so I kinda gave up on it.  I'm also having trouble on how to make "MadBlock" a half puzzle and half arcade.  I don't think AGS can do that.  Or can it ???
If there is a way, can someone tell me?

I can have demo up in a little while if you don't mind the lighting effect.  But I can't put any Zombies in it for now because I don't know how to insert a arcade game with a puzzle game.  Sorry.

I will continue to work on it though.

Here's a new background, im still new here so give me some pointers if it does'nt look right! Thanx!

Thanks for the pointers, yea, my perspective is a little off!  I'll have to pay more attention to that.  Flesh eating zombies ARE the best!

here's the character names that will be in the game

Chet- Main character- high school drop out who is traveling to his new job in Florida.

Harry- Crazy Veitnam veteran who thinks the zombies are Vietnamese soldiers that are after him.

Cheyrl- just your normal, everyday chick in the neighborhood who unwittingly broke a seal causeing the dead to walk and eat pedestrians.

Lloyd- Zombie who doesn't eat the living, but eats the DEAD!

Here's a couple more backrounds (I SHOULD have a demo up in a few days.)

This is my first game, it's called MadBlock.  You are "Chet Newport".  Your 1971 RV Stalls in a creepy neighborhood in Anywhere, West Virginia.  You look around in the almost abandoned block for some one to help you fix your RV but all you find are flesh eating zombies running about!

You basicly solve puzzles while chopping up zombies with a self-modified weed eater.( Chainsaws are too origial lol.)

here's a screen shot of inside Chet's RV (hopfully I posted the screenshot OK.)
