@eri0o
It's okay, thank you for correcting me. I meant to quit the game at the end but I guess it doesn't work as well on web lol. The looping idea is cool. Thank you for the advice.

@heltenjon
Thank you. I just felt embarrassed for announcing my game when relatively it took much less effort and is of lower quality than most projects posted on this board. I did not realize this before posting. I will keep creating but I won't announce it here next time lol. Sorry.

Thank you both so much for playing! And also thank you for taking the time to reply to this post.

I will do that when I get home and if this is still up. I'm unable to right now. Thank you. I apologize again. I'm so embarrassed.

Yeah I did add an image but it doesn't seem to be working. Either way, I kind of regret posting seeing the other games people have been posting on this board. Sorry! Feel free to delete. I can't figure out how to do that.

This is my second game on AGS. And this time I should actually be able to post it! This is a short 3-4 minute experience about the urban legend Polybius. It was made for a school project, and I made it in about 4 days. I am very open to criticism! Thank you for playing. <3

Yeah at the moment I'm just trying to figure out the software by making a short little experience for my friends. I'm still trying to figure out writing custom functions and when to use the tools the software gives you. Thank you for the advice! And thank you with the help with voice overs.

Oh, I apologize. I read somewhere on this forum that it's pointless to make a whole new topic for a question. I'm sorry.

As for my question, I was just trying to figure out a way to add a sound effect during dialogs. heltenjon's advice solved my problem. My issue beforehand though was that I tried to implement the sound effect through a speech voice over, and it didn't work. I titled the wav file of the sound effect NARR1. This is the code I tried to use:

Code: ags
@S  // Dialog startup entry point
return
@1
narrator:&1 The creature lets out a cry
stop
@2
narrator:&1 The creature lets out a cry
stop

Sorry to not respond to your replies I keep forgetting to. I am wondering if there's a way to play a sound effect during dialogs? I tried to put the sound effect as a speech sound file under the narrator and it doesn't seem to work.

Thank you for the help. I think I've got it working okay now. I am a little confused for movement though. I was wanting to make a Professor Layton style of movement, where you click on a button to display arrows, which, when clicked, move you to the room in the direction the arrow was in. A way I can think to do this is to make a gui for the movement button per room, and make said gui display a new gui with the arrows for that specific room. Is there an easier way to do this? Thank you.

I am trying to import a TTF font into my game. The resolution is set at 1080p. I have a few questions about fonts.

1. How big should I import my font at for a 1080p game?

2. How do I make the fonts less blurry at larger sizes? They are not blurry at all in the preview and in use outside of AGS, but they are very blurry when in AGS.

3. Is it possible to make fonts bigger or smaller when you've already set font size?

Thank you! I apologize if this question has been asked before. I can't find info about this in the manual or when I search. At least that I can understand.

So, I've been dabbling around in rpg maker and now AGS for a little bit. I followed some tutorials for both. Rpg maker was fairly easy to get a grasp on of course, but the type of game I want to make isn't an rpg. I've followed this series of tutorials so far https://youtu.be/0juPIF41vbM?si=sCdpaGV3Grb6iRpj and have kind of just followed along with what the guy is doing. I don't really understand any of the coding aspect. I have only ever coded in school and I've forgotten almost all of it. What would the best way to go about learning this program be? Is there an alternative that would fit me better? Thank you so much!
