One thing though: Couldn't there be a way to click away dialogues and cutscenes. As it is it takes a lot of time to just wait... Even the contorled speed of the dialogues does not help a lot... Just that for now... More to come...

*cough cough readme.rtf cough!!!*

Anyways, I found it to be a highly enjoyable game :)

Come on now, Ivy & Alias!! Klaus extended the deadline especially for you two, so it would be very unpolite not to post your games now!  :) Especially when you both are this close to completion.

Since it has been 2 whole weeks since the last competition I suggest that one of the moderators start a new one?

I like it; it's quite atmospherical.

I would soften the volume of the staccato guitar a bit, I guess...

Keep it up! :D

This is me on my way home from school...

Usually, I have a much more 'manly' approach when it comes to scary situations.

..Oh, who am I kidding? No, I haven't!

First of all: it's quite catchy - Nothing wrong with that.

Some suggestions though:

  • Maybe add some variation in melody? It tends to get a little bit repetitive (it sounds more like background music than a main theme).
  • Add some instruments (if you weren't already planning to do so).
  • Somehow I get the feeling at the 11-12 second something big should happen (melody wise, instrumental, etc.)

Otherwise, it sounds very promising. Keep it up! :)

Great stuff, Petteri! Thumbs up!

'used1_desert.mid' kinda reminds me of M0ds' "Bad Timing" for 'Bump in the Night' :)

Is there a connection?

I really enjoyed 'The Mystery of Haunted Hollow', so I can hardly wait for this game to be finished. Looks very promosing! :)

Who needs variation? :P But I've got to admit: 'Apprentice II' is a very good game.

Anyways,  I agree with Neil & Veil: I think Enclosure and ToaK had better stories, but that's just my opinion...

Yes, the dreams were VERY scary! They had my eyes go like this:  :o

In 'Enclosure' I thought the tention was enormous since you never got a really good look at the "IT" until the final scenes.

And the scene at the end in the restroom got me jumping off my seat!
#17
Somehow... I agree  ;D

My paint-overs.

Let these be an inspiration...

They're based on #2. I also like #6, but I think, when you decide to use that one, you should change something about the boat and the tree and the way they're arranged.

I suggest you leave more free space between the man's head and the top edge of the poster (about the same amount of space you have now between the text and the bottom edge).

Nice poster btw!

Well, that just blew up my speakers... :(  ;)
