The second part of The Devil's Shroud is coming in two weeks: this time is necessary to test the game for bugs and for the last details. The new part has tens of puzzles, more than 40 locations and more than one hour of gameplay (it means several hours to solve the game).
You can see the screenshots at http:\\leok.altervista.org. If you haven't played the first part yet you can download it at the same site. Leo Ketmaier is coming back...

As many people have pointed there was a bug in the game due to the conversion from hi-colour to 256. I've fixed it and tested the game and it works correctly. At least there aren't bugs that stuck you. Sorry for those who dowloaded TDS and I hope you'll be so kind to download it again.

We've just released a new version of the game at http://leok.altervista.org/. We hope all the marked bugs have been fixed. The abbot's bug was actually very irritating.

To thebook:
We've dealed with this dark issue because it seemed to be original to us.

To batgirl1979:
Thank you for the compliments; at least you've appreciated the way the interactivity changes during the game. We haven't understood your problem with the gate: Leo has to open it and if you had been able to pass through the closed gate, you really are batgirl!

Congratulations to you Yvonne. You've been very fast to complete the first part. We're glad you appreciated it and we're sure the you'll going to like the coming part even more.

Yes you're right and I have to apologize because Leonard should'nt say It's too dark to enter: that's a BUG!!! related to the walkable area. I'm sorry...just don't consider it.

The only thing you have to do if you want to finish the first part is to think as you were Leonard. It means that when you try to get an object he can't say I don't need it now, because he doesn't know if that object will be useful or not in the future. In the same way when Leonard finds out new clues, a previously unnecessary object can turn into something useful and so he will get it. Now, if you consider the matter from his point of view you should be able to understand why he gets an object and how he can use it.

You have to put the abbot to sleep...
#17
Yes the sanctuary is the room with two torches and one missing but you don't have to take a picture from that room but from the sanctuary's illustration (that is inside the abbot's secret book). Good luck.

First of all my compliments: It wasn't easy to locate the crypt so early (just 3 days!). Unfortunately I don't know what to say about the electric torch: it's not a red herring; you can get it since you use the pc to print the sanctuary's picture. It means that you can also get it when you've activated the device to open the crypt's door. I thought it was a bug but I've tried to take the torch in different moments and everything works correctly. Please let me know if you've been able to keep on with the game.
Bye.

Now Leo speaks english (more or less...).
Leonard Ketmaier, a medieval history professor, is asked by the S. MicheleÃ,  abbot to investigate about a mysterious suicide
committed by a monk of the abbey...
That's the first part of the game.
