The new deadline arrived and here they are... the winners.

1st place for Jim Reed, for himself trying not to make a mesh with his overloaded inventory. The golden turbosnail is yours.

2nd place for Stee, for his (even more) mutant purple tentacle. The silver turbosnail is for you.

and there's the bronze turbosnail prize, who won't have an owner due to lack of submissions.

Jim Reed, it's your turn to make the next Colouring Ball, congratulations.

Now It's time for another wonderful edition of one of your favourite contests: Colouring Ball, presented this time by me: G.

I dare you to see something in the next shape.

You...
-must fill inside the outline
-can flip and/or rotate the image
-can make a background, as far as the main shape keeps clearly visible
-can't rescale the image to allow a bigger background, keep the shape the protagonist
-can use any amount of colors.

a prize is ready for the winner, so you can start...

Now!

Doctor doctor! I see a happy turbo-enhanced snail! With black paint and flame details with an 8 billiard ball at the center.

Happy Turbosnail rules!

WHO CARES?

I do care. Michael jackson's music and dance moves were some kind of inspiration for my whil making any kind of work. I don't care about to many famous people.

But most of famous people have never done anything importatn to me. Michaal Jackson, as an artist, did something important for many people.

Who cares? all that people cares. It's not bad to show respect to a recently dead artist.

Played Ben There, Dan That and enjoyed it to death. Now I paid my bucks for this sequel...

And it ROCKS!

But I find that Dan's movement is somewhat buggy. Even to the point that it can become an endless loop, as happened to me while playing.

Spoiler

While getting out of the Pal robot-thing's Lab, Dan's movement became an endless loop. As the game waits him to reach one point instead of Ben itself (the leading char) it becomes impossible to quit the room.

And if you save frequently there's no problem, but for a spoony bastard like me (who eventually forgot the meaning of the concept "Save game") is quite bad.

Anyway. Good job on this guys!

Don't know whay, but the image of a the outer space glowing like a christmass tree, with all kind of saturated colors it's kind of strange for me. So I Did a little modification, making the stars and all the deep-space-shiny-things little more white.

Anyway, If you really wanted to have colourful space background then yours is allright.

Sorry but: "Wrong forum, wrong way to start." If you're looking for help for starting up your game, you should go to the "Adventure-related talk and chat" and leave your petition there in the "Recruit as Team" topic.
On the other hand, just to avoid this to get full of people with ideas and no real projects, only threads about games that are relatively developed are allowed. You'll need a pair of screenshots.
Read forum rules.

I think I hear Darth coming...

Hell yeah! Sektor 13 is back! I'm really looking forward to this. I really enjoyed The Infinty String, it was so intriguing! Is this goin' to like that?

*raises both hands*

A "Company Name" is not a need to launch any game or demo. Just say "A Jackerpot production".

I've made a paintover to show how to make teeth and tell you a pair of things about facial expressions. I tried to keep your style and palette. so here we go.

1- The human Brain remembers faces through a mental process involving the exaggeration of factions. This way, the more strong the expression is, the better the human brain keeps it and the better understands it. As you ca see, I've changed the shape of the mouth from the original elipse to a more "shapeless".

2- The eyes are the mirror of the human soul, always make the eyes expressive, give'em a bright (I gave them a subtle bright).

3- You must avoid not to show any teeth, but must take care not to show all of them. Just draw a little of the line that sepparates the upper and lower teeth, and forget it in the center part of the mouth. That's enough information for the brain.

Woah! Thank you very much ProgZmax. That's really helpful.

Hi there. Lately I've been trying to improve my pixelart. I usually don't make characters similar to those from games like Lucasarts' Indiana Jones or Sierra's Space Quest saga, but I decided to give it a try. And after some times this is what I got.

I still have some problems while drawing the face and hair, and I think the arm at the right looks to rigid.

Any help? thanks.

I'm also guilty of many chages.

Right now, I'm noticing it on my actual game (codename: Vendetta Project). I've learnt so many things about code, and graphics, that even now that the GUIs are all established and running smoothly, I'm having new ideas for new and more efficient GUIs.

And I say to myself: "Holly mollars! You should save those ideas for the next one, G."

Also, I startes doing quite simple graphics for one mere reason: to save time. Right now, I find myself sometimes making a hiper-detailed room, and I stop fot a moment.

And I say to myself: "Holly Cosmos, G! You're making those full-detailled scenographies again!"

Even the characters start to look more dinamic, and right now my main character looks stiff and boring!

And I say to myself: "Holly Gauacamole! I'm going to remake the sprites of the main character"

So, yes, this is a common phenomenon.

Woah, that worked. Thank you very much both of you guys!

Hi there!

Right now I'm working on the Vendetta Project. And I've reached a point in the progress of the game where the main character has to work along with another playable character. But, there's not only one more character, there are up to three aditional characters to play with.

So, for allowing one character to give an inventory item to another character I would like to find an easy code, that also allows me to save me from writing lots of lines of repeated code.

I tried with some simple code as:

Function GiveObject (Target character){
Target character.AddInventory (player.ActiveInventory);
player.LoseInventory (player.ActiveInventory);
}

But I found I don't know how to define "Target Character". As soon as I find how to define the target character of the function (The alternative playable character who will receive the object) this should work. Then when coding in the "Use inventory on character" I should write "GiveObject();" and ready.

So, some ideas? Thank you.

Hi there!

I don't know if this has been asked for, but while using the room editor y like to use the "eraser area" to fix little imperfections in walk-behinds, walkable areas, hotspots and all the like. But when i use it a warning pops up from the point I click on that says "You are currently using the eraser. To draw new areas change the selected area number" And it is nice to be warned about that, but please, could it be placed somewhere around instead of over the place I'm erasing? It's quite disturbing.

Thank you
