Why the frig not!

I made a short game a couple of years ago, called THE LIGHTHOUSE.

I'm not even sure if it's any good! I can't remember much about it. But feel free to give it a shot!

Download it here!

The cast won't have been cheap either...

I believe I read that the cast (at least, some of them, presumably the bigger names,) worked for the bare minimum, the legally required amount, as a favour. Given their small parts, I doubt they would have had to sacrifice much time for it (especially Wil Wheaton, Pendleton Ward and Jack Black.)

(Don't ask me to source that as I have noooooo idea where I read it.)

It's a bit shorter and easier than I'd like, but I'm definitely looking forward to Act II. Very charming, and absolutely gorgeous - I hope anyone who asked "how can an adventure game cost so much?" sees the difference between this and a one man indie P&C made in a weekend.

I doubt this will keep a place in my heart the way things like Grim Fandango or Monkey Island do, but I'm also not the age I was when I first discovered those games.

Good work, Doublefine! A-!

Spoiler
The twist at the end really took me by surprise!

I often think about AGS people who went on to make it "big" outside of AGS, Jess is definitely one of them, she's great.

Everyone else: sleep with one eye open.

I hope you guys don't think I'm weird, but I'd like to commission an adventure game staring the box with legs. About how much is that going to run me? 8-)

That'll be $3.45 million (I bypassed the Kickstarter.)

Woah, I feel awfully warm and flushed now...

I'd like to share a piece I recently commissioned too, if I may:

HUBBA HUBBA am I right boys? Gentlemen, start your engines!

Who needs brains when you've got legs like those? Cute is now a three letter word - BOX! Try to control yourselves at this display...!

It may have been £200, but it was worth every penny.

General Discussion / Re: Free Steam keys!
Wed 11/09/2013 19:55:18
Thanks to the latest Humble Bundle, I have spare Steam keys for FTL and Eets Munchies.

(FTL, by the way, is one of the best things ever.)

You want 'em? Tweet out (or Facebook) a link to my web cartoon or store to help me out. We'll be friends AND you'll get a game!

I dunno man, I looked up the wiki page for Electronic Arts and it looks like they have 16 games currently in development, as opposed to only 8. I think you're slacking.

Why do you want to be a moderator here?

Speaking of being on the same page, how much is your budget for voice actors? We should sign a contract or 9.

Oh okay, I can do paranormal. AND I can do activity (eg cross-stitch (which I've never done but how hard can it be??!?!?!))

Give me some sample lines and I'll do them in the SPOOKIEST voice possible.

I don't know who Aiden Lovecraft is, but I gave it a shot because I am a professional.

Here is my sample.

If you like it, call my agent, also, hire me an agent.

I encountered the same bug. I got the feather, then rang the doorbell, then noticed the part laying on the ground.

Yeah, me too. I was a little disappointed, I felt like I missed a stage or 5.
